"This place is becoming my second home." He said, and in all honesty, he mean't it.
He was probably spending more time in Japan than he was at his home in Missouri, and sure, he missed it. He missed the old life he had back home but he was reveling in this new life he'd indulged himself in. He had become somewhat of a whore within the wrestling world; a traveler from promotion to promotion, but his most common place, was in fact Japan. There was something about it that kept him wanting to come back. So much so that he went out of his way to buy an apartment in the city of Tokyo, but with the money that Mark Storm grosses, in addition the amount of time he spent in Japan, it would be a stupid move not too.
And you could tell by the smile plastered on his face that he sincerely loved being here. Turning to the camera, with the wind gently blowing his hair wayward as he stood on the balcony, turning away from the camera to look at the astonishing view of Tokyo Japan. A glass of water in one hand; dressed in a sporting attire consisting of an Adidas logo'd orange jumper, plain black shorts and a pair of Adidas ZX Flux's. He was all Adidas'd out, but his recent endorsement allowed him to be.
"I'm very fortunate. To have the job that I have, and be able to do it so often. Because it brings me to places like this and not a lot of people can say that. Wrestling brings you all over the world, and as a wrestler, I'm very privileged." He paused, turning back to the camera and clasping his hands together, adulation taking over his facial expressions. "Japan is one of the most cultured places in the world, and in the wrestling industry, it's one of those places where you need to go, in order to grow as a wrestler. It's very different here, but of course, everyone knows that. And I seem to be here a lot because of that fact. And when New Japan Fighting Championship invited me down for another event, I couldn't turn the offer; it's Japan, for starters. And secondly, the match that I find myself in, it intrigues me beyond belief."
Taking a sip out of his glass of water, he paused.
"I find myself up against two extremely talented wrestlers. I know who they are, and they know who I am. But I've never stepped into the ring with either of them. It's weird how you can be in an industry for so long but never actually cross paths with some people. But everything happens for a reason, and maybe, right now.. in this moment, is the perfect time for our worlds to collide. Chris Madison and Maddox Lucien, a pair of well thought of wrestlers, one being a seasoned vet, another being a newcomer to the game but despite being relatively new, he's caught my eye.
I mean, sure, he hasn't had the most impressive rap sheet as of late but you look at the guys this kid has come up against, and watch the matches he's been involved in, and they've been insane. I'm impressed and for that reason, I'm not taking him lightly. He beat Dakota Smith, one of the best in the world.. no one just does that in their rookie year. He's opened eyes and certainly opened mine. Whilst Chris Madison, well - the guy is a freakin' animal, and you don't need me to say that. You look at where he's been, and what he's accomplished - hell, all you gotta do is look at his Pride championship reign this year and there you have it!" He exclaimed, his eyes flaring up with excitement. "He's a dangerous man who's already made a trip to Japan and he beat one of the most dominant men this promotion has in Eric Darkthorne. Both of these guys, I've never faced before.. but in a few days time, we'll meet inside that four sided ring in the Fukuoka Kokusai Center, and it'll be anyone's game. Anyone's for the taking!"
He was excited but he had the right to be. This was something new, something different and he was excited to be involved.
"This is our moment boys, our dance in the spotlight." A smirk upon his lips appeared, "But hey, there can only be one at the end of the night who's arm is raised by the official. Only one, as sad as it is.. and I can tell you how this match is going to be pretty, and flow extremely well, and being extremely entertaining for the fans, and just genuinely be a spectacle for all wrestling lovers.. but it won't. This, is going to be a fight, a war. And I'll make sure of it. Heck, I'll push the both of you to the depths of hell if I have to.. and I've been to tell, I've got my email copied receipt to prove it as well as some coupons for my next visit. I'll take you to hell and back just to get that victory boys, and this match, it means a lot to me. I haven't competed in the NJFC ring for quite a while now due to schedules, so this is my return.. and I'm not letting any of you, spoil that.
Am I tired? No. I'm on the road twenty four seven and I feel alive, I feel rejuvenated, so those digs that may not be one hundred percent, are false, because I will be. I always am, and that's the secret as to how I keep going, everyone looks at me and they're in pure shock because I'm always on the road, I'm always looking for what next. I'm not shocked. I love my job. And I'll show you how much this means to me Saturday night, boys."
The scene cut to black.
