PRIDE OF PURORESU CROWN
Block A: DAY THREE
Location: Yoyogi 2nd Gymnasium
Capacity: 3000 in attendance
As the gymnasium fell silent, the two competitors in their respected corners would look at one another, allowing the silence of the audience to build before they made movement around the ring, which was quick and fluid, before they lunged forward and engaged in a collar to elbow tie up. It would be Mark Storm who'd emerge strong in the lock of horns as he pushed Yuji back into the ropes, holding him there before releasing his gradually, faking a strike and gently patting him on the chest. He'd race out, Storm was quick with an armdrag transitioned into an armbar, making sure the armbar was locked in nice and tight as he kept him grounded. Yuji wouldn't struggle for long, fighting his way back up onto his feet where he pushed Mark into the ropes, and Mark would bounce off of the opposite ropes, only to be met with a thunderous shoulder barge by Yuji, who wasn't playing around after his loss against Owen Gonsalves. Taking off to the ropes once again, he bounced back and had to leap over the grounded Storm. He bounced off of the opposite ropes and this time Mark leapfrogged. Coming off of the ropes again, Mark looked for a drop kick, even flying up in the air for preparation but Yuji faked the comeback.
Applause would ring through the arena and the two would once again share a gaze, before circling the ring once more, engaging in another tussle but this time, a war of strength. Knuckle lock engaged, Yuji would best Storm on this occasion, forcing Storm backwards and trying to pin his shoulders to the canvas but Storm would plant his head on the canvas and bridge himself to avoid his shoulders from being pinned. The fans would applaud and Yuji would then release him, quickly looking for an elbow, Storm rolled away, the two would get back up and Yuji would greet him with an enziguri which rocked Storm a little, who stumbled back into the corner. Yuji ran towards him and Storm would knee him in the gut, before delivering a suplex into the corner, with Yuji arching his back after the move and Storm going for the first pin of the contest, to no avail. Yuji would roll to the outside of the ring, recuperation was key here and Mark would play to the crowd. Running to the ropes, bouncing off and looking for a dive on the outside to Yuji, and connecting!
Once Storm was back on his feet, he'd lift Yuji up with him and roll him into the ring whilst climbing up the turnbuckle where he'd position himself. Inhale, exhale, jumping off for the frog splash but the knees of Misawa would rise and Storm would feel the full brunt of it. Picking Storm up, he'd swing him to the ropes, Storm coming back and he'd take him down with a flapjack, kipping up and taking off to the ropes, rolling forwards before following with a senton. The fans would applaud Yuji as he went for the pin but to no prevail. Storm was on the apron, using the ropes to help himself up and Yuji made his way towards him, Storm would grab him by his head and force it down onto the ropes with Yuji stumbling backwards. Storm would then position himself, springboard onto the top rope and looked to catch him with a crossbody but Yuji reacts with a drop kick that sends Storm flying across the ring. Yuji then gets on top of him for the pin but once again Storm showed life with a shoulder bursting up.
Rising to his feet using the ropes, Storm leaned against the corner and Yuji ran towards him, big splash attempting, Storm rolled out of the way. Running to the ropes, bouncing back and bicycle knee to Yuji who fell to a knee! Storm then took off to the ropes again and another bicycle knee connecting, harder than the last, a clapping sensation shockwaving through the arena! One shot, one kill! He mounted on top of him for the one, the two, but couldn't get the three to his disbelief! Running to the ropes, standing shooting star press, hooking the legs and only the two once again. He then picked Yuji up and looked for the tombstone piledriver. Yuji managed to use his strength to power himself down and in fact reverse the move so that now he had the tombstone piledriver! Once more there was another reversal and you could feel the excitement in the arena as Mark positioned Yuji for the tombstone and dropped his head down into the canvas! He then covered him for the one, the two but Yuji then kicked out, to the surprise of everyone in the arena.
Realizing that he had to use his finisher to end this once and for all, Mark rose to his feet and signalled the end of the match. He was by the corner, stalking Yuji as he gradually made his way back up to his feet. Once he was up, Storm turned him around and hoisted him up onto his shoulders! Yuji then slide down his back before he could do anything, turned him round for a lariat attempt, Storm ducked - pele kick, Yuji stumbled into the ropes, coming back - bicycle knee by Storm! Yuji fell to one knee, Storm ran to the ropes, diving uppercut by Yuji! Yuji then picked up Storm, lifting him up and bringing him down with a brainbuster! Running to the ropes, dropping the knee to the face before making his way to the top rope. He positioned himself with Mark rushing to his feet, Yuji would jump over him and roll forward before making his way back up. The two would run toward each other with Yuji connecting with a Yakuza kick! He mounted on top of Mark, with the one, the two and then the three to secure his first victory of the series!
