(Walking up to the podium next is Anastasia Hayden, who enters the room with the NJFC Global Championship and Liberty Championship around her neck and shoulders like scarves. It's almost unsettling to see Anastasia stand at the podium with a slight smile on her face given her success as of late. Definitely a drastic change from the last time she took the floor for NJFC, but still dressing as lazy as ever in her Lonsdale jacket and black yoga pants, there wasn't expectation for any real change in attitude.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "Here we are again. Let me be the first to say that I'm so, so, so...SO excited to be back here in front of everyone here. There's really nothing I love more than carving out some time to fly out to Japan and listen to some of the most asinine questions. But luckily for everyone here, I'm feeling a bit more generous this time around and I'm ready to hear some brilliant questions."
(With that, Ana points a mocking finger gun toward the reporters with a wink and click of the tongue before the first wave of hands go up. She takes her time before finally pointing someone out and they stand.)
PURORESU ONLINE: "Anastasia, last time we saw you was when you took on Aokigahara Zombie in a cinder block match. Given how brutal that match was, it seems like you haven't slowed down, in fact, if anything, you've started making more appearances all over the world. With this in mind, are you worried about entering this rematch against Mitsuo Shimada with any lingering injury or fatigue?"
(Ana scoffs at the question and shakes her head.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "Starting early with this, yeah? Right. Well, fatigue? No chance. I get paid the big bucks to travel across the world and I'm expected to go through those curtains on any given night and give nothing, but the best. I'll wrestle five days in a row and if someone asks if I'm ready for day number six? It's not even a question. I'm always fucking ready. I'm a world class athlete, I don't get paid for sitting on my ass. Lingering injuries? I don't care. I'll wrestle with a broken fucking arm if I have to. Nothing is going to stop me and nothing's stopping me from defeating Mitsuo once again."
(Her arrogance subdues for a moment as Ana adopts a more serious tone.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "If you're not hurting every morning you wake up, you're in the wrong fucking business. I'm not going to slow down because I'm sore because the moment I do...that's when someone tries to replace me and I'm not letting that fucking happen. And I'm certainly not going to let Mitsuo Shimada be the one to replace me. I put on a match of the year candidate the last time I was in the ring with that man. I know what he's capable of...but he's not better than me."
(As her sentence trails off, Ana's smirk reappears before she points out to the next reporter.)
RING SIDE REPORT: "As you head into this match, are you at all worried that your confidence could come back to harm you?"
(Ana laughs as the question is translated.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "Why would I be worried?"
(Her response is translated back, but Ana cuts it off as she brings her hand up.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "Did you hear what I just said? I don't take any days off. Shimada? Where was he when I was defending my belt against Aoki? Not here! You want to talk about confidence? Ask Shimada why he wasn't confident enough to confront me after my match with Aoki. Ask him why he chose to call me out on Twitter instead of in that ring. When you get that answer? Then you can talk to me about being overconfident. While he was away, a foreigner, a gaijin, AN INVADER took his spot here in NJFC and I'm fucking keeping it from him until he's proven to me that he's worthy of earning it back."
(She glares into the crowd for a moment, as if to establish dominance. Ana then softens up as she motions for another question.)
TOKYO ONLINE SPORTS: "One would say that you and Mitsuo have a lot in common, especially when it comes to being motivated...or lack thereof for the Global Championship or any belt for that matter. That being the case, why not just vacate the championship?"
(Ana rolls her eyes, hearing a question like this all too often.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "Look...I don't care about the Global Championship, but I know how many other wrestlers do. Whether Mitsuo cares for it or not...he still cared enough to call me out on Twitter for this belt. Me? I don't. That's just another reason I'm better than him, but I digress. I don't vacate this championship because of them. If they want it? They'll have to fucking earn it. I'm going out to the ring, laying the belt down for any challenger, and I guarantee you that I'm walking back through the curtains with it dragging by my side once more. They think their lust for gold makes them stronger, but all I see is weakness...and I can't fucking stand that."
(A quick look of disgust to enforce her point.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "Like I've said before, I'll carry this physical manifestation of everything I hate in wrestling with pride because I know I'm going to hear the same shit over and over again about how someone wants it more than me...with pride in knowing that I'm going to shut them the fuck up every single time! I'll shut Mitsuo up, I'll shut up whoever wants to step up after him, and I'll make the Global Championship the most prestigious belt in all of professional wrestling...and then I'll throw it right in the fucking trash because I know...no one else will earn the right to hold it."
(Ana almost forms a snarl at the reporters.)
ANASTASIA HAYDEN: "So, final words for Mitsuo? You want this belt back? Good fucking luck."
(And a return of more arrogance as Ana glares into the crowd before walking away from the podium.)
