Brief Bio: Grandchild of the legendary wrestler Kurokawa Koji, known for his lengthy matches and teachings, and Hironaka Ayaka, deathmatch legend through and through.
Middle child of ‘The Hornet’ Kurokawa Keiji, a karate master and retired wrestling prodigy, and Hirano Rina, retired joshi ace.
Legend upon legend upon legend and legend. a family offering fundamental teachings on their philosophies of wrestling in the Bluesummer Dojo, as well as a place for the homeless and the downtrodden in the Bluesummer Hotel.
Enter Shikimi Kurokawa.
Shikimi’s contribution to her family, while her siblings Kiryu, Kenjiro, Mayumi, Rio, and Michiru strived to greatness?
She got injured in her first match in 2017 and spent two years rehabbing her left shoulder.
...To that end, Shikimi re-debuted in 2019, any level of confidence in herself all but shattered. Auspicious beginnings and what have you. She would go on to join YUGEN, struggling at first to find her footing.
She would be beaten down by the likes of Ainu Kanno in the early goings, slowly climbing up the ranks, and having rivalries with opponents such as Adri Wilde, Kagami Nakanishi, Sakurako Ichimonj. Shikimi slowly began to rise into her own, picking the Ethos and Exceleration Championships, as well as winning the Timeless Wanderlust tournament. In that, she took up the moniker of the Timeless Ronin, a play on her Tsujigiri nickname. All the while she would continue to chase the likes of Asura and Dani Sandstrom as her white whales. Two opponents she would hope to one day conquer.
To one day test her blade on with victory certain.
One day.
Pro Debut: 2017 & 2019 (Explained in Bio)
Picture Base: Nagisa Noazaki
Gimmick: Tsujigiri (辻斬り or 辻斬, literally "crossroads killing") - Shikimi is forever willing to fight to further her practice and skills. Anytime, any place, any bout, anywhere. All with the intent to get stronger, to grow more skilled, to learn and pull others in this mindset. Whatever she needs to do to “hone” her blade. It is a delicate balance, this viciousness focused only in-ring. It’s only her general good nature and respect for wrestling that keeps this...”intent” in check.

Strengths: + The Walking Archive: Shikimi couldn’t tell you on what date two legendary wrestlers clashed, but she can tell you about six or seven different microscopic details that your german suplex has from someone else’s just by watching it. Her knowledge is a bit more... Specialized than her fellow peers but it has its uses in the ring.
+ Crossroads Killing: Shikimi takes an opponent trying to get in a striking match with her as equal parts a personal affront and an invitation to “draw her sword” so to speak. She will take ANY opportunity to lay hands or feet (mostly feet) and bruise, bludgeon and blast her opponent.
+ Pumphandle Princess: Yes, Shikimi has like fifteen different finishers, but realistically...She only has one. The Pumphandle hold. From that single hold, she has learned to use a bevy of maneuvers, depending on the opponent’s size, style, and strengths. It’s no accident naming DDP, Yuzuki, and Yuji as her real-life comparisons; all are wrestlers who had variations of the same finisher for whenever the situation called upon it. Shikimi merely follows that tradition.
Weaknesses:
- Arm Guard: AS LONG AS YOU CAN KEEP YOUR ARM OUT OF SHIKIMI’S REACH YOU CAN STOP HER FROM ONE OF THOSE GODFORSAKEN TSUJIGIRI-RYU TECHNIQUES! Easier said than done obviously, especially with her affinity for hitting it, but it is feasible.
- Wild Cards: Wrestlers who can change up their tactics or style, or do a little bit of everything can be a big problem for Shikimi. She prides herself on understanding her opponent’s specific style. Her game is gonna get shaken up if you’re a powerhouse breaking out ranas and planchas, or you’re a high-flier heaving her clear across the ring in a gorilla press slam.
- Overcompensation: Shikimi being a middle child, third generation wrestler has her less on the ‘I was literally made to be better than you’ spectrum and more on the ‘Oh God I’m going to let everyone down’ side of things. She gives everything to wrestling, morning, noon, and night. As you’d expect, not healthy at all. I leave this to match writer discretion on how this comes out in matches. Maybe exhausted easily sometimes in bout or just having a random freak out and hitting herself when she only gets a two-count pin on someone.

Entrance Information
Entrance Theme: “Filth In The Beauty” the GazettE
Entrance Description: The pleasant notes and introduction of “Filth In The Beauty” begin playing over the speakers. The lighting is low and for a moment everything is calm amidst the vocals that start the song off. At about twenty seconds into the song, the hard guitar riffs suddenly hit and the way to the ring is spotlighted in green lighting. Shikimi Kurokawa walks from out of the curtain, stopping to drop to her knees and sit on her haunches. Her entire frame draped in a long gi that pools around her and hangs off her shoulders.
She eventually rises to her feet with the lighting returning to normal. Shikimi walks to the ring, climbing onto the apron before stepping through the second and first ropes. She makes a motion and takes a standard horse stance before shrugging off the gi hanging from her shoulders, showing her ring gear for the first time.
Entrance as Champion: No different.
Attire: A long white martial arts gi she wears over her shoulders and a white owl mask.
