KORATO SHIOZAKI: Ladies and Gentlemen, New Japan Fighting Championship presents to you Night One of Fighting Spirit from Ryogoku Kokugikan! I am Korato Shiozaki and as always I am joined by my co-commentator Nakano Gozen! The next two nights promises to be a historic chapter in this company's history, with a stacked line up spread across two nights, I know that there's going to be some magic created in that ring. Of course July has been the month of the Fighting Spirit series and what a series it turned out to be, with TJ Techniques and MYOJIN advancing to the finals tomorrow night, to crown a tournament winner and a new FIGHTING Junior Heavyweight Champion. A monumental occasion, I can't wait for it!
NAKANO GOZEN: ..It is indeed going to be a blockbuster Korato, much like our main event for this evening, when the NJFC Global Champion Brennan Devlin defends his title against The Murakami Office's Hiroki Omigawa! Omigawa is someone who the NJFC fans have already grown to love since his debut at A New Hope, where he arguably had his Global title dreams stolen from him by Devlin. Devlin then defended his title against Ryuu Kazuhiko on the road to Tag-Team-Tropolis, and as Devlin called for a challenger, The Glorious Weapon answered! At Tag-Team-Tropolis, Omigawa performed his finishing Revelation Bridging Dragon Suplex on the champion, with his team managing to best Devlin-Gun and now he has the opportunity to go one on one with The Face of Wrestling, it's going to be a scorcher!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: We can't forget The Mythmaker, Mitsuo Shimada, the self proclaimed Gatekeeper of New Japan Fighting Championship, who has been targeted by The Mad King, Michael Kelly since the return of NJFC back in May. Kelly made his intentions clear, he wanted a piece of Mitsuo Shimada, a man who he has both admired and vilified from afar. On the Road to Tag-Team-Tropolis, Mitsuo Shimada would team with The Final Boss, VLADISLAV, only for him to betray him and align with The Mad King's Regime. At Tag-Team-Tropolis, Storm & Shimada failed to overcome the team of Kelly & VLADISLAV, with Lily Blaise's interference playing it's part. Shimada has payback on his mind and tonight could be the night to do it!
NAKANO GOZEN: Could we see a title change tonight? The NJFC World Tag Team titles will be on the line after Mayumi Tanahashi proposed the match to The Wonderkid Yui Watanabe. Watanabe managed to get a surprise win in her opening block match over Tanahashi and came to her aid alongside her partner Matsuda & Leo Lions. Mayumi appreciated that and laid out the challenge for the Tanahashi Twins first defense! The Regime's VLADISLAV will also be teaming up with fellow stablemates The Trybe as they face off the Heroes for Hire's Takashi Shinobu and Strike 2 Kill. We've got Violent Style, two NJFC originals in Bryan Williams and Owen Gonsalves going up against the recently signed native talents who debuted at Tag-Team-Tropolis, Raijin Hunter & Nagisa Sato.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Devlin-Gun's Midnight Society will take on Shiro Ibushi and The Renjas, but first, a Fighting Spirit Fatal 4-Way match up, as 4 debutants look to stamp their marks here in NJFC! The Regimes Renegade Sierra Renegade, The World's Finest Jessi Ozborne, Diamond Princess Danielle Page and The Golden Flower Hana Kaneko!

The Regimes Renegade Sierra Renegade, The World's Finest Jessi Ozborne, Diamond Princess Danielle Page and The Golden Flower Hana Kaneko!
“Diamond Princess” Danielle Page starts Instagram Live as she is being driven to Ryogoku Kokugikan.
“DIAMOND PRINCESS” DANIELLE PAGE: The Fighting Spirit of Juniors has been the focus of NJFC the country of Japan as a whole. But now you can all turn your attention to me because as we all know that the wrestling world revolves around me. As we all know tonight I step into the ring against Sierra Renegade and Hana Kaneko who I don’t have a history with but we all know that Jessi Ozborne have crossed paths quite a few times over the past year or two. And as good as Jessi is and how she will attempt to belittle the opposition, it is me who holds the last victory when we were in the ring together. Just saying.
Danielle has a cocky smile come over her face.
“DIAMOND PRINCESS” DANIELLE PAGE: Now tonight starts my ascension to becoming the official “Princess of Television” when I become the inaugural NJFC Television Champion. It obviously won’t happen tonight but when the inaugural champion will be crowned you can rest assured that it will be me.
MAI KADO: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Fighting Spirit 4 way match!
The lights dimmed as the music started, a slow music box tune filling the arena along with a female Japanese voice slowly singing over it. The crowd waited in anticipation as the slow music continued, soon the vocals came to a stop and the music box continued for a few more seconds. When that stopped, the music suddenly turned into a more fast paced rock style track, the lights brightening up to mixed colors of red, green, and gold. Once the main vocals of the song kicked in, Hana Kaneko has walked out on the stage, looking around at the crowd with the colorful Kitsune mask covering her face. In one hand, she had her sword in it, resting it on her shoulder as she walked to the ring, looking down at the floor as she walked at the same pace of the music, meeting the halfway point of the ramp once the chorus began.
MAI KADO: Introducing first, from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, weighing in at one hundred-forty three pounds, the Golden Flower, Hana Kaneko!"
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Hana Kaneko has been in this business since 2016, wrestling primarily on the independent scene here in Japan before making a splash over in the States with Zion Wrestling. She's a former ZION Viral Champion and I'm sure The Golden Flower will be eyeing up some gold here in NJFC.
Her name being announced didn't have an affect on her, keeping her focus on getting to the ring as she would soon get to the ringside area, placing the sword down on the apron to then slide it into the ring before going over to the ring steps and walking up those to get into the ring. Once she picked the sword up again, she took it out of it's sheath, pointing the sword towards the camera while she looked around to the people again, sighing as she then pointed the sword back down, going over to her corner where she put it down, along with taking off her mask and the jacket that she came out in.
MAI KADO: And he opponent...
The beat of “Come Around” by M.I.A begins to play and the arena lights dim down low. Purple and blue lights alert the scene as moments go by, before Sierra Renegade comes strutting out from the back curtain. Her head is exposed by the hoodie covering her eyes, but the scowl on her face is clear as day as she makes her way to the center of the entrance ramp. Leaning forward, she reaches up to remove her hood, showcasing her dark eyes that look ready to take someone's head off. With the passion and intensity on her face, Sierra looks into the cameras mouthing how she’s the moment, she’s the opportunity and she’s the one.
MAI KADO: From Queens, New York, weighing in a one hundred and twenty one pounds, The Renegade, Sierra Renegade!
NAKANO GOZEN: Sierra Renegade of The Regime making here NJFC debut after we've seen here in the corner of Lily Blaise alongside Coco Lazlo during the Fighting Spirit of Juniors series. Now Renegade has the opportunity to leave her mark now, she's ruthless, cunning and determined, I think she's going to surprise a lot of people here tonight.
As she stands up tall and looks down the ramp, she rolls her eyes as she begins to head down to the sea of boos and sneers. Loving every moment of it, Sierra antagonizes the fans trying to get a rise out of her as she walks down. Making her way to the ring, she walks over to the steel steps and skips up them tauntingly, before walking across the apron spinning around to the center, before leaning in forward entering the ring and instantly walking over to the northern turnbuckle climbing up, lifting her hands above her head high. Taking in the moment, Sierra lets out a loud scream amping herself up before she jumps down awaiting for what is to come.
MAI KADO: And their opponent...
B R Right” By Trina Ft Ludacris starts playing throughout the arena. The crowd saunters out the entrance way and looks disgusted by what she sees in the arena. As she walks down the ring. Danielle looks at everyone like they have the flu and makes an effort to make each fan know she is avoiding being touched by them.
MAI KADO: From New York, New York, weighing in a one hundred and fifteen pounds... The Diamond Princess, Danielle Page!
When she gets to rinside she walks up the ring stairs. The referee opens the middle and bottom ropes then Danielle enters the ring. She walks to the middle of the ring where she shoos at the crowd and walks in the opposite direction.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Diamond Princess has blessed us all but gracing the four sided ring here in NJFC! A woman of class and honor, who's held multiple tag team titles alongside her sisters in a number of promotions, and has also held some singles success too. She'll be hoping to repeat that here in NJFC and who knows, maybe we'll see her sisters appear here down the line.
NAKANO GOZEN: You're sounding like a massive simp, Korato.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Guilty as charged.
MAI KADO: And their opponent...
The lights in the arena go out. The crowd buzzes in anticipation as the beginning of Of Mice & Men’s “Bones Exposed” begins to play. The lights to the arena burst to life, with Jessi Ozborne coming out from the curtain and onto the stage. She puts her fists to her mouth, kissing them both before throwing her arms into the air and wingspanning as the lyrics kick off.
MAI KADO: From Montreal, Quebec, Canada, weighing in a one hundred and twenty one pounds, The World's Finest, JESSI OZBORNE!
Ozborne pivots, throwing a pair of finger guns to the camera. She taunts straight into the lens as she makes her way down the ramp, throwing the fans high fives and “Too Sweets” on the way. She gets to the ring steps, climbing them up the apron and to the top rope. She puts her fists to mouth again before doing the same wingspan gesture up there as well, right in time with the music!
NAKANO GOZEN: Perhaps the most recognizable of names to have penned down their future here in NJFC! The World's Finest, wrestling prodigy and multiple time world champion! Jessi Ozborne is only twenty years old, having made her debut a year ago in New Frontier Wrestling, who's gone on to become one of the best wrestlers in the world today. The leader of the Queens of Chaos is in the house!
Jessi dismounts into the ring, shuffling around and getting the crowd hyped. She climbs to the top rope, once again throwing the wingspan gesture up. She climbs down getting ready for the match.
Danielle Page rolls to the outside of the ring almost immediately, yawning as she walks around the outside whilst Renegade and Kaneko team up on Jessi Ozborne, striking her down by the corner of the ring. Renegade delivers a flurry of forearm strikes before Kaneko stops her, taking over as she delivers a flurry of her own.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Diamond Princess playing it safe but taking herself out of the equation.
NAKANO GOZEN: It's only smart if you get the win but it's a good play from Page, allowing Renegade & Kaneko to run riot on her rival Jessi Ozborne.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: That's the queen of NJFC Television right there!
Renegade stops her, greeting Ozborne with chops to the chest before Kaneko intervenes, lighting Ozborne up with chops of her own. Renegade pushes Kaneko off her, challenging her to a one on one duel and Kaneko accepts, immediately sprinting over with a lariat attempt. Renegade ducks underneath it, spinning Kaneko round and delivering a series of shoot kicks to the chest. She delivers a superkick that stuns Kaneko, but she's still able to reply with a Roundhouse kick!
The two competitors stagger towards each other, holding onto the ropes as Ozborne charges over towards them, delivering a clothesline that sends them both to the outside! The World's Finest immediately rushes to the ropes, rebounding before performing a Tope Con Hilo onto both competitors, rising to her feet and soaking in the applause of the fans. From behind, the Diamond Princess counters, grabbing Jessi by her hair and driving her head against the ring post. She brings Jessi back to her feet, attempting a “Crown Jewel” Brainbuster, but Jessi rolls down behind her. She delivers a Roaring Elbow to Page, who drops to her knees. Jessi follows this up with an enziguri before rolling Page back into the ring and attempting the 1-2-but Kaneko slides back into the ring to break it up.
The World's Finest is thrown into the ropes, Ozborne rebounds and ducks under the Discus Forearm attempt from Kaneko, performing a Suicide Dive to the outside on Renegade. She hops back onto the apron, delivering a forearm to Kaneko who staggers back to the centre of the ring. Ozborne goes for a springboard but Renegade is back up on her feet, dragging her down before she can! She delivers a German Suplex into the railing!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Renegade may have just taken Ozborne out of the match!
NAKANO GOZEN: She's a clever, clever fox that Sierra Renegade.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: But wait, The Diamond Princess with a roll up!
The Diamond Princess rolls Kaneko from behind for the 1-2-but Kaneko kicks out! They race to their feet, with Page attempting her signature “Princess Kick” SuperKick, Kaneko evades, nailing her signature Everest German Suplex for the 1-2-but Renegade breaks it up! Kaneko gradually ascends as Renegade measures her from behind, performing her finishing Sierra Shocker: Running Bicycle kick to back of kneeling Kaneko’s head to secure the 1-2-3!

MAI KADO: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, making their way to the ring -

Rowen and Nessa both take care of each Renja, with Rowen throwing Ake into the guard railing whilst Noa takes down Buru with her finishing "DEMON SLAYER" (Romero Stretch Dragon Sleeper). ROWEN delivers her finishing DECODE (Roundhouse Kick) to Ake, who crumbles to the ground. Rowen and Noa walk over to each other, high-fiving as they embrace the jeers from the fans. The Midnight Society raise their arms in the centre of the ring in victory, laughing as Ibushi and The Renjas are attended to by Dragon's Dojo students.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Midnight Society with a dominant win in twelve seconds! Another heinous attack before the match though, disrespectful as ever from the Devlin-Gun trio.
NAKANO GOZEN: It may be disrespectful but it gets the job done, Korato. Devlin-Gun with a showcase squash to remind the rest of the roster that they aren't going anywhere!
MAI KADO: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
As the lights in the arena begin to dim, Finished I Ain't by Ghostpoet begins to play through the arena as purple strobe lights shine from the stage and emerging from the back are Strike 2 Kill. Both men stand on the top of the entrance ramp with a look of ruthlessness about them, they look at each other, nodding heads and fist bumping, before making their way down to the ring. Lingering behind them is The Golden Ace, Takashi Shinobu, who fist bumps his two companions before they make their way down. The fans start to warn them that The Regime are approaching from behind and Heroes listen to their pleads, turning to meet The Regime as the two teams suddenly collide.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: And it looks like we're about to get another all out brawl on the outside between The Regime and The Heroes for Hire!
NAKANO GOZEN: At least they had someone warning them, poor Ibushi and The Renjas!
Liam Richardson and DJ both roll themselves into the ring, getting the action started.
DING DING DING!
They charge at each other, with DJ managing to perform a Monkey Flip on Richardson but he lands on his feet. Richardson greets him with a series of hard kicks to the mid section, attempting a Roundhouse kick afterwards but DJ ducks underneath it. He takes him down with a hiptoss before trapping him in an armbar but Richardson is quick to evade, rolling back, then forwards before kipping up. He reverses the hold, wrench the wrist and arm of DJ round before delivering another flurry of kicks directed at the chest. Richardson tags out to Watson and keeps DJ by the corner. Watson charges towards him, delivering corner forearm smash before connecting with a enziguri kick, forcing DJ to crumble to the canvas. Richardson follows this up with a corner grounded uppercut before Watson covers for the 1-2-but DJ kicks out. Watson tags back out to Richardson and the two combine, as Richardson delivers an enziguri kick, Watson manages to drop DJ with an impressive Dragon Suplex. Richardson covers him for the 1-2-but DJ kicks out again.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Impressive combo's from Strike 2 Kill, who have really honed their craft in the last year or so.
NAKANO GOZEN: It's cute but it's not moving me right now Korato. I need more!
Richardson tags out to Watson and the two try to combine again, as Watson Alley Oops Richardson towards DJ, he clocks him with a dropkick. DJ returns to his feet and drops Watson with a Snap DDT before kipping up, taunting the crowd who beer him heavily. DJ tags out to TJ and the duo combine, dropping Watson with a Double vertical suplex. TJ covers for the 1-2-but Watson kicks out. TJ tags DJ back in and the two combine once more, as TJ performs a Turnbuckle powerbomb into enziguri from DJ! DJ scales the top rope, as they deliver Assisted Senton(TJ Tosses DJ off of the top rope for a senton onto Richardson) for the 1-2-NO!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Trybe are also showing out with some combo's, I'm sure we'll be seeing these two teams square off in tag team action soon enough.
NAKANO GOZEN: Our tag team division is already stacked and with the trio's titles pending, I'm sure more teams are going to emerge in these coming weeks!
Watson crawls towards his corner but DJ grabs at his leg. Watson manages to kick him off, making the tag to Takashi Shinobu. Shinobu enters the action, dropping DJ with a running knee before delivering an overhead belly to belly suplex on TJ! DJ staggers back to his corner, where VLADISLAV slaps his back to make the tag and enter the action. The two men collide in the centre of the ring, exchanging strikes as the fans get behind Shinobu whilst VLADISLAV gets jeers. Shinobu ducks underneath his arm, rebounding off the ropes and attempting a flying forearm smash, but VLADISLAV side steps him.
He grabs him, spins him round and delivers giant chop to the chest. He lifts him up for a chokeslam, but Shinobu fights his way down, stunning VLADISLAV with a spinning back fist, followed by an enziguri. Shinobu then manages to deadlift VLADISLAV up, performing a Bridging German suplex for the 1-2-but TJ breaks it up! Richardson suddenly raids the ring and drops him with a superkick! DJ is in from behind, turning Richardson round and nailing him with a superkick. Watson comes up behind DJ, Dragon suplex connects! Watson turns into the path of VLADISLAV, who knocks him down with Hammer of Warsaw: Burning Lariat! Shinobu grabs his from behind, attempting another German but VLADISLAV isn't budging. He drives his elbows back into the head of Shinobu, who loosens the hold. Shinobu charges towards him but VLADISLAV counters with Kowalski's KO: Rolling Elbow! He brings Shinobu back to his feet, performing his finishing The Iron Curtain: Burning Hammer to secure the 1-2-3!
WINNER: THE REGIME (08:55)
Kaseya Center Miami, FL
RAI: Konnichi Wa, Omataseshite moshiwake gozaimasen. Kaigi ga nagabiite…I hope that you all were not kept waiting long.
{There is a slight chorus of negatives from the press at which point Raijin offers up a polite smile before he finally does take his seat and motions for one of the press to begin}
PRESS ONE: Yes, I am Hitomi with Number Magazine. Do you think that you are prepared for your tag team match with Nagisa Sato against the members of Violent Style?
{Raijin makes a slight clicking sound with his tongue before he slowly nods}
RAI: Yes I do, Hitomi-san. I know Nagisa-sama is perhaps one of the more established stars in New Japan at this moment and it is an honor to wrestle alongside him as he was on my father’s bucket list prior to my father’s own retirement earlier this year. I honestly do believe that Nagisa-sama and I are on the same page where Williams and Gonsalves are concerned and if they are not already concerned about the fact that they have to step into the ring against the living example of the King’s Road, then they are most certainly not going to be ready for a man like me, now are they?
For years people, the Japanese press have often asked a great deal of men who were scheduled to enter a match against the Mavericks and every time the answer that was given was nothing but foolish bravado and egotistical pride…so if Williams and Gonsalves can honestly look at the entirety of you and with a straight face say that they can beat one of the toughest wrestlers in Puroresu and a man who was brought up in the very style..then they have chosen to be the latest in a long line of foolish victims. Next question, please?
PRESS TWO: That would be me, sir. I am with Daily Sports and my question is how have you been preparing for your first time facing off against Williams and Gonsalves?
RAI: I’ve been studying tapes of both men, and I’m honestly say that I’m ready for Williams…Gonsalves on the other hand, with him I’m not going to lie as I’m fully expecting an uphill battle all of the way and to be honest, that’s a fight that I’m looking forward to because I’m always looking to test my skills against the best our business.
But in the long run, you can only learn so much and prepare for so long with only the tapes to study, but as a great many opponents have learned in recent months is that I’m an extremely quick learner.
PRESS THREE: Hello, I’m Luke Owen with WrestleTalk. This might sound like an odd question but since you’re a known associate of Jacob Striker, will we see any other members of the Mechanical Animals here in New Japan?
RAI: It’s not an odd question, Mister Owen. But the answer to your question is that honestly I don’t know. I know that Jake is currently wrapping up his final engagements with the Omega Wrestling Alliance and that’s about it while Wil’s contract status is his own business, so I cannot give you a solid answer other than what Amanda and I know about our contracts with New Japan, Fair?
LUKE OWENS: Very, thank you.
RAI: However, as we all do know with the MA is to always expect the unexpected. So that answer could very well change at a given moment, true? Alright next question please.
PRESS CONFERENCE: Yes, I am Ryotaro with Sports Nippon. How are you viewing your chances with the Pride of Puroresu Crown series to eventually challenge for the New Japan World championship next month?
RAI: Well Ryotaro-san, first off again I am humbled by both the chance and the thought that New Japan Fighting Championship thought that I deserved my spot in the tournament and I promise to not only do my best but to also come out the other side as the winner of the whole tournament because I honestly feel that my chances to win are perfect, not because of the fact that I am a second generation wrestler or that I’m a wrestling prodigy, but because I have the drive and determination to fight until the fighting is done because I have the heart of a true champion.
RYOTARO: Thank you for your answer. Good luck.
{Rai smiles as he bows his head respectfully back to Ryotaro before Raijin motions to the next member of the press}
PRESS FIVE: Yes, I’m Yuto with TV Arashi and I was wondering how you’re able to handle such a busy weekend as you go from your match here in New Japan Fighting Championship into your One Wrestle Movement World title match against Q?
AMANDA: If I may interject, that is a very solid question. Thank you.
RAI: Yeah it is, but I have to ask your question in one or two ways, which the other way is will my title match distract me from my tag match in New Japan or vice versa?
YUTO: As you wish to understand it, sir.
Rai: To give you the complete answer is that no, my title match against Q will not distract me in the slightest from my match with Nagisa Sato against Violent Style because that is something I picked up from my father in that I don’t look ahead to a bigger or supposedly more important match because if you all will look back and recall that was my uncle, the “Punisher” Matt Hunter, biggest problem is that he always looked ahead because he was so overly full of confidence in himself and arrogant that he always looked to the future, to the next championship, and that always cost him in the end.
So just like my parents, I keep my attention focused in the here and now and that keeps me from being distracted from the end goal and that end goal is for Nagisa-sama and myself coming out the winners over Violent Style this weekend, thank you.
SIGNAL by WANIMA sounds off as Nagisa Sato appears on the stage. He looks around the arena with a smile on his face as he begins marching down the ramp. He waves to the fans and even high fives a few of them as he stops at the end of the ramp. He fluffs his jacket before climbing up onto the apron and entering the ring. Sato climbs onto the turnbuckle and holds his arms out wide as the streamers rain down in the ring. Nagisa hops down and removes his jacket. "Heart of a Champion” by Hollywood Undead feat. Papa Roach & Ice Nine Kills plays through the speakers and emerging from the back, alongside his manager Amanda Belnades, The Dark Phoenix, Raijin Hunter.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: At Tag Tema Tropolis both of these guys made their debuts and secured wins as a team, now they're up against two NJFC originals, with all four competitors involved in the Pride of Puroresu Crown series. This is gonna be a good one.
NAKANO GOZEN: ...It will be most certainly and I'm sure both Nagisa Sato & Raijin Hunter feel like they have a lot to prove heading into the series, that they can hang with the best in the world.
Hunter and Sato talk game by their corner as the lights in the arena dim.
Emerging from the back is the duo representing Violent Style, Owen Gonsalves & Bryan Williams. The fans pop as both men immediately jog down towards the ring, getting the action started early as both teams greet each other in the centre of the ring, exchanging strikes.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Well, looks like Violent Style are living up to the name, they wanna get this one started!
Gonsalves focuses on Nagisa Sato, delivering a series of Knife Edge Chop whilst Williams fixates on Hunter, stunning him with consecutive forearm shots to the back of the head. Gonsalves eventually manage to get Sato out of the ring, clotheslining him over the top rope and to the outside as Williams superkicks Hunter, who falls to a knee.
Williams goes for another superkick but Hunter rolls through, rolling Williams up for the 1-2-but Bryan kicks out. The two competitors race to their feet, with Hunter returning first, he delivers a flurry of Repeated elbow strikes. Williams staggers to a knee as Hunter rebounds off of the ropes, attempting a big boot but Williams ducks underneath it, attempting to lift Hunter up and over with a German. But Hunter remains grounded, driving his elbow back into the head of Williams. He charges to the ropes, rebounding only to be met with an elbow strike from a following Williams. Williams attempts an Irish whip to the opposite ropes but Hunter reverses. Williams rebounds and The Dark Phoenix manages to connect with a big boot. Williams sits up and Hunter immediately goes for a soccer kick. Williams evades, rolling back before rolling Hunter up for the 1-2-but Hunter kicks out.

Gonsalves performs a Stalling Neck Twist on the grounded Hunter, before rebounding off of the ropes and nailing him with a soccer kick to the back. He covers him for the 1-2-but Hunter kicks out.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Violent Style are a well oiled machine. Led by Bryan Williams & Owen Gonsalves, you've got to think that the group are going to hold onto some gold sooner rather than later.
NAKANO GOZEN: With all the championship opportunities that are coming up, it's sure as hell a good bet.
Gonsalves grabs Hunter by his arm, attempting an arm-wrench but Hunter counters with a series of forearm smashes. Gonsalves counters with a series of high-intensity open palm strikes across the body of Hunter, culminating with a spinning back kick to the mid section. Gonsalves then takes off to the ropes, rebounding to be met with a superkick by The Dark Phoenix, followed by a Feint roundhouse, followed by a legsweep. Hunter makes the tag to Nagisa Sato who slingshots into the ring.

Sato performs a Vaulting Press/Suicide Dive onto Gonsalves whilst Raijin Hunter captures Williams with a Tope Con Hilo!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The native talents go airborne simultaneously on Violent Style!
NAKANO GOZEN: Raijin Hunter & Nagisa Sato are serious talents, Korato, they can do it all and some, and they aren't even an official team.
Sato rolls Gonsalves back into the ring and hops onto the top rope, readying himself. He flies off, performing a crossbody into a 1-2 but Gonsalves kicks out. Sato brings Gonsalves back to his feet, punishing him with knife edge chops to the chest. He tags out to Hunter and the two combine, with Sato Irish whipping Gonsalves into Hunter, who strikes him down with a Roundhouse kick. He follows this up with an open palm chop to the chest, then a an open palm slap to the face. A forearm strike connects from Gonsalves, followed by a European uppercut. Gonsalves attempts a bicycle kick but Hunter side steps, dropping Gonsalves with a Ura-nage. He covers for the 1-2 but Gonsalves kicks out. Hunter stalks Gonsalves, watching him as he gradually ascends before attempting his signature “Not Hollywood Kick” (Discus Big Boot)-in tribute to Jacob Striker, but Gonsalves ducks underneath it, rebounds off of the ropes and delivers a bicycle kick!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Some hard hitting exchanges from both of these teams here tonight, this is what I'm expecting to see during the Pride of Puroresu crown series!
NAKANO GOZEN: It's a violent affair Korato, this is NJFC.
Both men lie on the canvas, with their partners eager to tag in, they crawl towards them, both making the tag. Williams manages to flip onto his feet! Sato turns and Williams delivers his signature Raging Demon (spinning backfist, followed by a running bicycle knee strike). Raijin Hunter suddenly raids the ring, dropping Williams with his signature “Not Hollywood Kick” (Discus Big Boot). Gonsalves enters the ring, performing Sky Uppercut (Springboard Corkscrew European Uppercut) on Hunter, who rolls to the outside! Gonsalves helps Williams towards his corner, making the tag before rushing over to Sato. He brings him to his feet, dropping him with the Darkest Lariat (Wristlock Short-Arm Lariat) to secure the 1-2-3!

WINNER: VIOLENT STYLE (13:45)
We get an opening shot of the legendary Korakuen Hall before the camera pans out to find newcomer Coco Lazlo and ‘The Mad King’ Michael Kelly. Always very loud and out there, Michael is sporting a glittery teal suit jacket with a colored chainmail underneath it; His pants are of the same cloth as the jacket and the only thing semi normal about his outfit are the alligator shoes he’s got on. Carrying a spiked cane, the leader of The Regime looks to his trainee, an extremely irked look on his face.
His trainee is perhaps too casual in all of this. Every bit of flair and every ounce of flamboyance he has is contrasted by her nonchalant demeanor, her leaning on the nearest thing available to, you know, lean on. She feels his eyes on her and before she can fix herself, he’s already correcting her.
MICHAEL KELLY: No, you have to stand here. Right shoulder. Arms crossed. Head up, facing forward.
You see, normally Michael would be flanked by Tony Russo but for some reason, he’s not here today. It’s very easy to tell that his absence has affected him, therefore ruining his original plans for today’s segment. Coco is really trying her best and though he knows that, there’s no Tony Russo to verbally abuse. Still, he hands her his cane. Coco stands there stiffly after having been adjusted, holding the eccentric cane and being the best Tony Russo she can be. Coco Lusslo, really. Michael huffs before turning his attention to the camera.
(Korakuen Hall. Known for many battles and wars, this place has been restored to its former glory. It's your fault that the arena you once dreamed of turned into garbage. I'm sure someone will come pick it up. Go back to the days when you were looking forward to a show at the famous Korakuen Hall. Of course, I was chosen to do so, but I am being paid an amount that most people would find selfish. For me, I know my price. It's a lot, but you get what you pay for. The Mad King! I—)
Michael is then cut off by Coco. It’s not that he’s done with whatever he’s saying. You see, Coco just doesn’t understand what he’s saying. Her Japanese isn’t the best and he’s talking so quickly, she figures when he finally started to slow down a bit, it was her opening to jump in. She also has her own things to say.
COCO LAZLO: Exactly! I agree with every word my mentor has said so far, but I would also like to talk about my peers for a second - the super Juniors. Can I get some subtitles under me?
Who is she talking to? The subtitles are already there and she’s motioning to them.
COCO LAZLO: I was a little too late to find myself in the Fighting Spirit of Juniors series and because of that? I’m playing Coco the Hater. I want every single person to break their ankles on every block. The fact that I can’t show up and prove that I’m the best fucking kid walking Japan right now drives me crazy. Sorry, Lily. You’re cool, but it should’ve been me.
Lily with the sunglasses, you all know Lily. Recently under the wing of Michael Kelly, she’s an awkward dweeb of emotional proportions. Coco thinks she’s alright. But everything is a competition and with two newbies of his found in the likes of Lily and Sierra, Coco isn’t afraid to claim that she’s above them. In a friendly way. She loves her, uh. Faction-mate. Gym-Affiliate. She points Michael’s cane at the camera.
COCO LAZLO: Fight all fucking day, fight all fucking month, cry all fucking year. Until Coco Lazlo steps onto the scene, it doesn’t mean shit. Until I’m rocking my debut pants, none of that means shit. The day any of you see me standing in the ring across from you is the day you can finally say, oh fuck, I have something to prove - but not anymore than I do. Day in, day out, my hours are filled with getting better, getting stronger, learning from every situation presented. I embody the fighting spirit you’re all trying to attempt to hold in all of your dingy hands and I’ll be swinging to show it off every time. Fuck the Juniors and fuck with Coco Lazlo only, on some Regime shit. I’m a walking extension of greatness, but don’t tell him that.
Coco leans on the cane and nods toward Michael, who had given her the chance to speak with a level of patience that is questioned once she says that. However, before he can say anything, his phone starts ringing. He practically scrambles to get it and once seeing who it is, hurriedly answers.
MICHAEL KELLY: TONY!? TONY, WHERE ARE YOU? NO, I OBVIOUSLY AM AWARE THAT YOU’RE NOT HERE. HOW? MAYBE BECAUSE I AM HERE AND THE SPEAKER OF THE ROUNDTABLE ISN’T. UNACCEPTABLE! AND YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS UNACCEPTABLE, THIS COMPANY ACCEPTING THE LIKES OF MITSUO SHIMADA BACK WITH OPEN ARMS. You sign The Mad King and showcase this man like he is the next coming. He’s already come and gone. We’ll be waiting for him to do it once more. I don’t SEE a world where I am second fiddle to him. I refuse to allow such lethargy. Fighting spirit? Don’t make me laugh. Every time I’m reminded of that saying and how you all shake in fear of the imaginary boogeyman that’ll get you for speaking anything other than the gospel of Puroresu. As far as I am concerned? THE Mad King IS Puroresu.
Coco jumps in like a Hip Hop Harry character to add-
COCO LAZLO: And his Regime IS Japan. GET FACE FUCKED.
-just as Michael Kelly snatches his cane back from her. He pushes the cameraman to make him fall to the ground because he’s an asshole. Michael, not the cameraman. The last thing we see before the video cuts is Michael walking over him to make his exit like nothing.
The scene opens with the self proclaimed Mythmaker, Mitsuo Shimada, standing in front of a Fighting Spirit logo'd backdrop. He has his JROK Trios and Interim New Wave titles on either shoulder and his signature smirk plastered across his lips.
MITSUO SHIMADA: Michael, Michael, Michael... I have to admit, I wasn't surprised when I you said you'd be coming after me. I wasn't even surprised when VLADISLAV betrayed me in our tag team match. And I am not surprised that you have now found yourself surrounded by a posse... a cult, of sorts, because it fits you. The Mad King leading The Regime into a new era here in New Japan Fighting Championship. The era of The Mad King. It sounds fitting, doesn't it?
Shimada smiles, nodding his head before continuing.
MITSUO SHIMADA: But as fitting as that sounds, Michael, I will not allow you to reign supreme here, no... I will not let you get to the mountaintop here, not on my watch. What I am to this company is the gatekeeper and that fact will always remain but now you threaten to take that away from me. I've got to respect it, Kelly, this is the exact move I would've done too, all those years back. I used to be the villain but now, these people see me as some sort of hero... something you used to be, to them.
MITSUO SHIMADA: That was another lifetime ago and the roles have now switched. NJFC welcomed me with open arms because they know I am the man who can lead them to the promise-land. I've brought you back here, and now we're about to make a ton of money and I finally get to beat your ass. You wanted this match Michael, you remember that because what you're in for is a massacre. You want me gone but you can't get rid of someone like me, Kelly, I'm like a rash on your chest or the itch on your back. And now that you've targeted me, you've allowed yourself to be exposed to a virus. I am not like my heroic companions who preach doing good over everything, no.
I am still the same bastard scumbag that everybody hated before, except what I stand for aligns with them, the people. I want the best for New Japan Fighting Championship, I always have and always will, and when people like you want to take my throne, it offends me. You offend me Michael Kelly because you are a false king, a fake idol who's masquerading as a savior, but who are you really saving? These people? Yourself? Those cronies you surround yourself with? As far as I'm concerned, NJFC is bigger and better than ever, and you, you're just a footnote to the madness. You're maniacal brain can't handle that so you've come for me. It's all good.
I'm not holding back, you want all of me? I'll give it to you and some. You claim to be puroresu but I will show you the true meaning of it. The master of my own destiny. I've already seen how this all plays out and for you Michael, it's not looking good. And when destiny calls, I'm the one who answers.
The scene gradually fades out.

MAI KADO: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
The light completely shuts off, prompting the fans in attendance to turn their phone lights on. There’s a delayed silence before that distorted horn buzzes throughout the arena. There it is again. It’s clear what this is as Kanye West’s “I am A God” plays throughout the PA system.
“Blazin’ mi, don’t want dem
Mi need dem
Blazin’
Suh mi tek har outta bugah red and put her in a tall skirt
And now she find out what life is really worth”
Spotlights roam around the stage before all of them overlap toward the curtains. The distorted horn blares again.
“No To X Rated
Yo mi tek har outta bugah red and put her in a tall skirt
And Now she find out what life is really worth
No To X Rated”
“I am a God
I am a God
I am a God”
MAI KADO: Introducing first, from The Bronx, New York, weighing in a two hundred and forty five pounds, The Mad King, MICHAEL KELLY!
MK laughs maniacally, standing in the middle of the spotlight as Kanye West speaks to his Narcissistic ways. One more horn prompts the lights to cut on as Kelly walks down toward the ring, arms still spread out. Only this time, the mixture of boos and people in awe of this confident aura has Michael with a gigantic shit eating grin.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: There's no doubt about it, Nakano. Michael Kelly is a star and he has done it everywhere he has been. From Kings Road, to CML in Mexico, there's also Sixth City Pro and N-JPW here in Japan. This man has done it all and he's on a crash course to do it all over again here in New Japan Fighting Championship. You either love him or you hate him, but either way, you have to respect the commodity that is The Mad King.
NAKANO GOZEN: He is a Mad King for sure Shiozaki and he's someone who's growing an empire of his own here with The Regime, who are already looking like they're going to be a force here in NJFC. Coco Lazlo, Lily Blaise, VLADISLAV, Sierra Renegade, The Trybe... there's a host of names and I'm sure there's going to be more coming out of the pipeline eventually. The Regime are looking to stamp their mark here and The Mad King is looking to lead them into success.
Ignoring all of the outstretched hands, The Mad King makes a circle around the ring before walking up the nearby ring steps. He cleans his boots on the apron before climbing up to the second turnbuckle with his right foot stepping on the top rope. He looks out to the crowd and cocks his head back, forcing out an obnoxious laugh before going -
‘LONG LIVE THE MAD KING’
He then steps down and wipes his boots once more before stepping through the middle rope and sauntering over toward the nearest corner where he’d lean back and stare across the ring with a smirk on his face.
As the opening of Stardust by Kazsin plays through the speakers, the arena falls to silence as the lights also dim down.
MAI KADO: And his opponent...
Strobe lights of red and gold suddenly shine towards the stage and emerging from the back is The Mythmaker, Mitsuo Shimada, who has a stern look on his face as he stands on the top of the entrance ramp. He's all suited up, with his hands tied behind his back, he looks down and closes his eyes.
MAI KADO: Making his way to the ring, weighing in a two hundred and twenty five pounds.. The Mythmaker, MITSUO SHIMADA!
Opening his eyes, he looks back up as Kado finishes her sentence and within his eyes you can see the evil beneath. He smirks as he makes his way down the entrance ramp, jeers coming from all over the arena but he doesn't care. He's blocked out the noise of the crowd and his sole concentration is now on the ring.
NAKANO GOZEN: Mitsuo Shimada is the current Interim JROK New Wave & Trio's Champion. He's a former NJFC Global Champion who's currently competing in HyperFight Po Wrestling also. He is one of Japans finest wrestlers and is the self proclaimed Gatekeeper of New Japan Fighting Championship. He's been here since the company's rebirth back in 2015 and has been a pillar. He'll certainly ave his eyes on the Heavyweight title in the Pride of Puroresu Crown series, but tonight, all attention is on Michael Kelly.
Reaching the edge of the ramp, he pauses once more and looks inside the ring, nodding his head before walking around the edge of the ring and mocking the fans around him. He then jumps onto the apron and latches onto the ropes, inhaling, exhaling, before entering the ring. He takes off his pants from the bottom, extinguishing them before taking his blazer and shirt off, throwing that out of the ring too, with staff on the go to collect those items.
DING DING DING!
Kelly and Shimada stand in opposite corners, gazing at one another, neither man makes a move. Shimada's name echoes through the arena, as he leans back against the ropes with his hands behind his head, soaking in the cheers as Kelly chuckles.
"SHIMADA - SHIMADA - SHIMADA!"
KORATO SHIOZAKI: A lot of animosity between these two men as Hanzo has to get between them. You just know that this is going to be a brutal affair.
NAKANO GOZEN: It's written in the stars Korato, both of these guys would say its destiny.
The Mad King cackles as he retreats, with Shimada helping himself up via the ropes by the padded corner. Kelly sprints towards him looking for a splash in the corner but Shimada lifts him up and onto the apron. He goes for a forearm but Kelly manages to counter with a forearm of his own, stunning Shimada who staggers towards the centre of the ring. Kelly goes for a springboard, leaping onto the ropes and attempting to clothesline Shimada but he manages to roll through. Shimada gets to his feet and immediately heads to Kelly, attempting a forearm smash but Kelly ducks underneath it, and attempts a German suplex. Shimada manages to hold his weight, driving his elbows back into the head of Kelly, who breaks the hold and stagger backwards. Shimada sprints towards the ropes, rebounding off of them and manages to connect with a flying forearm smash to Kelly, immediately trying to mount on top of him but Kelly rolls himself out of the ring.
The Mythmaker looks around the arena, a smirk on his face as he signals for an aerial maneuver. He sprints towards the ropes, rebounding off of them and looks as though he's going to fly towards Kelly. He fakes it, rebounding off of the ropes and rolling into his signature pose in the centre of the ring, pointing towards the heavens as the fans adorn him with cheers. Kelly watches with a look of disdain on his face, rolling himself into the ring but Shimada rolls himself out the other side. Kelly instantly performs a Tope Suicida onto Shimada, mounting on top of him and delivering several crisp strikes to his head.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Michael Kelly floating like a butterfly with that Tope Suicida onto Shimada!
NAKANO GOZEN: Shimada should've spent less time flaunting and focused on Kelly, it's like he allowed The Mad King to get back into this.
He gets to his feet, cackling as he yells to the crowd; "Your gatekeeper is finished! I'm your KING now!", with the fans jeering him in response. He laughs, grabbing Shimada by his hair as he brings him towards the ring steps. Kelly goes to slam his head against it but Shimada counter, using his foot to stop himself from connecting, before grabbing Kelly by his hair and slamming him against it. Kelly stumbles backwards, holding onto his face as Shimada measures him for an attack. The Mythmaker sprints towards him but Kelly counters with a stiff forearm to the face, before delivering a suplex into the guard railing!
The Mad King ascends to his feet, cackling as he does, applauding himself as the fans jeer heavily. He rolls himself into the ring before rolling himself out to break the count, looking to inflict more damage on Shimada on the outside. He looks towards the commentary desk, shaking his head sideways as he tuts with Nakano & Korato both rising to their feet.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: That's our signal to move!
He pushes everything off of the table before grabbing Shimada and hoisting him onto it. Kelly delivers a series of forearm strikes to the head of Shimada, trying to expose his forehead before joining him on the commentary desk. Kelly preps Shimada for a DDT but The Mythmaker manages to fight his way out of it, driving his forearms into the sides of Kelly. Kelly releases him and all of a sudden the roles have switched and Shimada is delivering a flurry of forearm strikes to the head of Kelly. He then plants him through the announce desk with a DDT, sending the crowd into a frenzy as the two lie there, exhaling heavily.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: It is total chaos out here! The Mythmaker dropping The Mad King with a DDT through the announce desk seconds ago!
NAKANO GOZEN: This is what NJFC means to both of these men. They're prepared to end each other right here, right now.
The Mythmaker makes it to his feet, grabbing Kelly by his hair as he guides him back into the ring. Kelly immediately rolls back to the outside of the ring to recuperate and Shimada seizes the opportunity to counter, performing a Tope Suicida of his own onto Kelly! He rolls him back into the ring and immediately preps himself on the apron, as Kelly gradually rises to his feet in the centre. He turns and Shimada is flying towards him, looking to connect with a forearm but Kelly counters with a European Uppercut out of nowhere. Shimada gets to his feet, clutching onto his neck as Kelly delivers another European Uppercut, followed by a Stiff forearm strike, before planting Shimada head first onto the canvas with a DDT. Kelly brings Shimada back to his feet, performing a Suplex toss into the padded corner! Shimada recoils, arching his back in agony as Kelly rises, running his fingers through his hair. Shimada is up by the padded corner as Kelly charges towards him, connecting with a corner Yakuza kick as Shimada staggers out and crumbles to the canvas.
The Mad King scales the ropes, prepping himself before flying off, looking for a Frog splash but Shimada gets his knees up! Kelly clutches his stomach, shaking his head in dismay as he gets to his feet. Shimada kips himself back up, smirking before performing a Tornado DDT off the ropes! Shimada then scales the ropes himself, prepping himself as he looks for a Moonsault, and manages to connect! He immediately hooks the legs of Kelly for the 1-but Kelly immediately kicks out! The fans in the arena gasp out of shock as The Mad King pops his head up, mouthing obscenities at Shimada "Fuck you, Shimada, is that all you've fucking got?!".
The two exchange strikes from a grounded position as they gradually ascend to their feet and have a full blown striking battle in the centre of the ring, with the crowd firmly behind The Mythmaker, who's feeding off of their energy. Kelly delivers a back kick to the mid section of Shimada before heading to the ropes but Shimada follows him, greeting him with a stiff forearm. Shimada then goes for an Irish whip but Kelly reveres, and as Shimada rebounds, Kelly delivers a pitch-perfect dropkick. He immediately heads to the ropes, performing a Sliding Forearm. Kelly gets back to his feet and delivers a soccer kick to the back of Shimada. He brings Shimada back up to his feet and drops him with his signature Brainbuster Onto Knee. Kelly goes for the 1-but
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Shimada kicks out at One!
NAKANO GOZEN: I don't think Kelly was expecting that!
The arena erupts as Shimada is suddenly shouting obesities at Kelly, saying "You're no King, you peasant, eat shit!"- the two exchange a flurry of forearm strikes yet again as they gradually ascend to their feet. Kelly clotheslines Shimada to the outside, with the two tumbling onto the floor. They get to their feet and Kelly delivering his signature Skull-Splitting Headbutt, making Shimada bleed, as blood trickles down his forehead. He staggers forwards, somehow managing to perform his signature Forward Rolling Kick to Kelly! Blood begins to trickle down the forehead of The Mad King Michael Kelly, both men now exposed! The two lie on the outside of the ring as the fans applaud both competitors for their efforts.
The referee has got to the count of fifteen and both competitors are starting to make the climb back to their feet. They lean onto each other before both realizing the predicament they're in, with the referee at the count of 19. They lunge themselves towards the ring, both managing to get in before the count of 20. Both men get to their feet, exchanging forearm strikes in the centre of the ring.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: This is puroresu ladies and gentlemen! Michael Kelly and Mitsuo Shimada giving each other hell here tonight!
NAKANO GOZEN: There's a lot of animosity and bad blood, like we said before. They've both been waiting for this one on one encounter for quite some time, and I think they're both enjoying this!
Kelly goes for an Irish whip but Shimada reverses, with Kelly rebounding off the ropes, he counters with a Sling Blade on Shimada! Kelly brings Shimada back up to his feet and attempts a German suplex but Shimada flips back onto his feet. He charges at Kelly, stunning him with a step-up enziguri before delivering a release German Suplex of his own. Kelly clutches onto the back of his neck as Shimada storms back over to him, nailing a basement dropkick. Shimada strikes his signature pose as he lies on the canvas, with the fans once again chanting his name as he gets to his feet.
The Mad King gradually ascends as Shimada stalks him from behind, attempting his finishing Destiny's Call (Half nelson somersault reverse DDT/Destino), but The Mad King manages to push him off. Kelly performs a rebound German suplex before delivering repeated headbutts to Shimada, embracing the jeers that echo through the arena. He brings The Mythmaker back up to his feet, delivering a series of stiff forearm strikes by the padded corner. Kelly hoists him up onto the top rope before joining, with Shimada trying to counter with strikes to the mid section. Kelly delivers a series of headbutts that stop's Shimada, before performing a Top Rope Butterfly Suplex!
They thud on the canvas and Kelly crawls over to Shimada, covering him for the 1-2-but Shimada kicks out! Kelly runs his fingers through his hair in disbelief, as Shimada crawls towards the corner of the ring. Kelly watches as Shimada gradually rises, he sprints towards him, looking for his finishing DATE With Destiny (Busaiku Knee Kick), but Shimada moves out of the way. He get's in behind him, connecting with his finishing Destiny's Call (Half nelson somersault reverse DDT/Destino)! Shimada covers for the 1-2-3-NO, Kelly has his foot on the bottom rope!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Are you kidding me, I thought this one was over!
NAKANO GOZEN: The Mad King still has his wits about him, excellent ring awareness to stay in this one!
The Mythmaker grabs Kelly and hoists him up onto the top rope, joining him on the second as he tries to lift him up with a Superplex. Kelly doesn't budge, jabbing Shimada in the ribs who gradually releases his hold. Kelly lifts Shimada up, looking to connect with a Brainbuster onto the turnbuckle but Shimada fights his way out of it.
He stumbles back towards the centre of the ring as Kelly leaps towards him. Shimada rolls forward, manages to evade as Kelly also rolls through, with both competitors returning to their feet. Kelly goes for his NO DOUBT (Ripcord Rolling Elbow) but Shimada ducks underneath it, lifting Kelly up for a back suplex, but The Mad King flips onto his feet. He connects with his signature JFB (Spinning Roundhouse Kick), immediately following this up with his NO DOUBT (Ripcord Rolling Elbow). Shimada crumbles to a knee as Kelly rebounds off of the ropes, performing his finishing DATE With Destiny (Busaiku Knee Kick)! Kelly coves for the 1-2-3!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Mad King has done it! He's defeated the Gatekeeper of NJFC, Mitsuo Shimada in his first attempt!
NAKANO GOZEN: He did it as clean as a whistle too, that's puroresu right there, Korato.
Both Shimada & Kelly lie motionless next to one another in the centre of the ring. Kelly has a grin stretching across his face as members of The Regime's; Lily Blaise, Coco Lazlo, Sierra Renegade, VLADISLAV, & The Trybe join him in the centre of the ring, bringing The Mad King back to his feet. Out from the back, the Heroes for Hire emerge, led by Mark Storm, Shinobu & Strike 2 Kill who tend to Shimada.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Heroes for Hire have failed to pick up any wins tonight, a rough one for the group who will certainly need to regroup and reassess everything after tonight.
NAKANO GOZEN: On the other-hand, The Regime have been on fire and the leader of it all, The Mad King Michael Kelly, will certainly be feeling confident heading into the Pride of Puroresu Crown series next month!
Storm and VLADISLAV exchange words in the centre of the ring, with things quickly escalating as they begin to shove each other. Blaise tries to play the peace broker, getting in between them whilst Lazlo charges forwards, dropping Strike 2 Kill's Liam Richardson. Renegade targets Miles Watson, throwing him out of the ring as The Trybe simultaneously superkick Takashi Shinobu.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Regime are cleaning out the Heroes for Hire!
NAKANO GOZEN: They say heroes never die, but we've seen exactly that here tonight, over and over again!
Storm turns to see all his teammates down and out, shaking his head in dismay. He turns back to face VLADISLAV, who greets him with a giant big boot to the face. The Mad King Michael Kelly laughs manically, standing over the body of Mitsuo Shimada as VLADISLAV stands over Storm.
During the duration of the show and matches that were going on. Finally the fans got something else for their tastes. The NJFC-Tron would light up around the arena, the lights diming down. The crowd went silent as the scene before the Tron would change. You were given a sky view of the city of Kyoto during sunset. The beautiful skies adorned with orange, reds, and yellows of the evening sunset. The pinks of the cherry blossoms across the city were almost illuminated from the colors of the skies. The evening lights being turned on along the city, giving more view to the old style structural designs of some temples and shines that stood out. The beautiful voice a woman just humming out a medley, with the sounds of a shamisen echoing about in the background.
Your point of view started to zoom into a figure that was standing against one of the cliff edges. The closer the cameras got the more intense it seemed the shamisen started to play. Finally the screen and the sounds went to black. The sounds of a high-hat would be heard over and over before what sounds like drums would come in. The scene changes quickly, not showing the upper half of the man who was in the middle of the ring currently what looked like was taking a person's head off with a Lariat! It changed again to him driving down someone backwards for a Back Drop Driver but his face was covered!
" 最近の世界では第一印象がすべてを意味します。"
First impressions mean everything in this world these days.
The voice would echo about as the videos kept on changing showing the faceless man's ability in the ring. By the look of it, he was tall, stocky. He was quick on his feet despite the size he was carrying to him. Arms looked long and muscular as well. Overall he seemed like a gifted wrestler, yet the way the crowd was reacting to the viewing of this person's ability in the ring was one of interest.
次男には何も得られないと期待されていますが…
A second-born son...expected to gain nothing...
それで私はこの国の最高の学校に通った...僧侶...そしてこの次男には今、彼の前に道が開かれている。
So I went to this nation's best schools...monks...and this second son now has a path before him.
地面に竜巻をラリアットしてきました。
I have lariat'd a tornado to the ground.
皆さんが応援するヒーローを倒しました。
I have taken down a hero you all cheer for.
おそらくこれが放送される頃には、私は空の王の座を奪っているだろう。
Perhaps by the time this will air, I would have dethroned the King of the Skies.
...私は普通の人ではありません...
...I am no ordinary man...
We return back to the man standing on the cliff edge with the shrine behind him. He wore a white t-shirts, plain. Black long pants with a pair of converses on his feet, his upper half covered with a black leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up passed his elbows. The sun was behind him, shadowing his face heavily. The only thing seen around that circle of light behind him were the flicks and waves of that lion mane like hair he had. One hand extended out from his sides, thrusted out to give a thumbs up to the viewers watching at home and in the arena. Turning his back to the camera just to show the fist design upon the jackets back. The words BIG SMASH IN JAPAN on the underside and topside of the fist.
私は秀吉です。
I am HIDEYOSHI.
善のために戦いますか?自分勝手な理由?世界を混乱させるため?あなたの目標が何であれ、私にとっては何の意味もありません。
Do you fight for good? Selfish reasons? To cause chaos in the world? Whatever your goals are, they mean nothing to me.
私には自分の目標があり、語るべき自分のストーリーがあります。これは、今私の前に立ちはだかる者たちへの警告です。
I have my own goals, My own story to tell. This is everyone warning who now stands before my path.
邪魔にならない場所に移動しなければ、スマッシュされてしまいます。
Move out of the way or get SMASHED.
The video suddenly ends with HIDEYOSHI turning, his arm extending out towards the camera. The sound of a loud crash would be heard, and everything going black.
In the halls of Ryōgoku Sumo Hall, the NJFC cameras find the tag team champions, The Tanahashi Twins, Minoru, and Mayumi. Both are dressed and ready to compete, Mayumi has her belt around her waist over her ring jacket while Minoru keeps his casually slung over his shoulder. The camera moves in as the two appear to be in mid-conversation.
MINORU TANAHASHI: I have no problems defending the titles against them May May, but you should have asked before giving them the shot.
MAYUMI TANAHASHI: Well… I figured we were definitely gonna be defending the titles no matter what. You don’t put the tag champions on the poster and not have them defend. Plus, Yui was the first person to give either one of us a loss since we got here.
MINORU TANAHASHI: Fair point. I guess other than the demon club guys and World Over Heaven, there weren’t any surefire challengers.
MAYUMI TANAHASHI: Yea, but stupid Myojin is fighting for the Junior Heavyweight title like I wanted to be. I was gonna do both.
MINORU TANAHASHI: We did beat them though. It’s not our fault that they got distracted by some assholes. Also, yes camera person, we know you have been here for a while.
Minoru turns towards the camera with a smirk and a wink.
MAYUMI TANAHASHI: Do you think there’s some secret wrestling cameraman school that teaches them how to be kind of sneaky, but not really?
MINORU TANAHASHI: No. Besides, we need to focus on this match. You did already beat you once, and I don’t want that to happen again.
Mayumi glares at him and crosses her arms.
MAYUMI TANAHASHI: IT WON’T!
MINORU TANAHASHI: You sure? How many matches did you end up losing in the tournament? Four, five, seven?
MAYUMI TANAHASHI: It was definitely not seven, and there were a lot of good people in there. I bet you don’t do as well in your tournament as I did in mine.
MINORU TANAHASHI: Oh you are absolutely on. When I win this bet, you can’t post any pictures of yourself in anything other than ring gear or like a dress that covers you well. I’m scrolling along and then all of a sudden I see my little sister's ass. It’s terrible.
MAYUMI TANAHASHI: REALLY? This crap again? I am pretty and cute and sexy and people like me. Deal with it Oru. Now, WHEN you don’t do better than me, you have to… buy me takoyaki whenever I want, until the next tournaments.
MINORU TANAHASHI: WHAT!? I would go broke doing… You know what, you are on. Now, now that all of that is settled and we have thoroughly ignored the camera person who just barged into our conversation, let’s go grab a couple of waters and talk about what to avoid against Yui, and what we have watched from Eimi.
MAYUMI TANAHASHI: Hai. Sayōnara kameraman-san!
Mayumi smiles and waves to the camera person while Minoru just rolls his eyes before they head off to talk strategy, somewhere without so many potential eavesdroppers.
MAI KADO: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the NJFC World Tag Team Championships! Introducing first...
“Angelic Angel” by µ's hits the arena! Arena lights turn to rainbow colors and smoke covers on the titantron! Yui Watanabe appears behind the smoke when the smoke fades away. Yui Watanabe poses in point to the sky and slowly points down to the ring with a smile on her face. Yui claps her hand before running to high five with the fans along the ringside and runs up to the ring by steel steps! Yui Watanabe climbs up to the top rope and points at the fans. He theme transitions into “Evolution - TIP Mix” by Ayumi Hamasaki as Eimi Matsuda makes her way out from the back, performing a dance before ascending down to the ring, high-fiving a few of the fans before scaling the ropes, pointing towards Watanabe who points back at her.
MAI KADO: The Star Princesses!
Matsuda and Watanabe pose in the centre of the ring, as the fans applaud them.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The Star Princesses both impressed in their Fighting Spirit of Junior's campaigns, with the teenagers definitely having learned a lot from the tour, the future is bright for them. And potentially, the future could start right here tonight if they're able to beat the current champions, The Tanahashi Twins.
NAKANO GOZEN: We know that Yui Watanabe has been holding an injury to her arm throughout the Fighting Spirit series but nevertheless, she really did epitmose the series, fighting throw all of the adversity, whilst also picking up a win over Mayumi Tanahashi in the first round. That ultimately decided this match that we're having tonight and what an opportunity it is for both of these young competitors.
MAI KADO: And their opponents...
The lights dim as “Karate” begins to play, purple and gold lights flashing as fog starts to fill the entrance area. There’s a large blinding burst of Pyro as the lyrics begin and all the lights flash bright white. The lights return to purple as a gold spotlight shines down on the Tanahashi Twins. Minoru is ready to draw his ‘super swords’ as Mayumi is set to take flight, the superhero sibling duo pose for a few seconds before heading to the ring, high-fiving fans along the way, each giving Tanahashi Twin wristbands on their way down to the ring.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The tag team champions making their first defense here at Fighting Sprit. A lot of people would argue over how they won those titles but the facts remain, they did it and got the job done and I think we could potentially be in store for a historic reign from the brother sister team. They have of course, gotta make it through tonight.
NAKANO GOZEN: There's no disputing that they are the NJFC World tag team champions and I'm sure they'll be looking to prove their doubters wrong here tonight.
Mayumi hops onto the apron as Minoru runs up the stairs. Both flip into the ring, Minoru landing ready to draw his sword as Mayumi rolls into her flight pose, taking a bit more time for pictures on this pose before they go to their corner and remove their entrance gear.
MAI KAI: They are the current and defending NJFC World Tag Team Champions, the Tanahashi Twins!
DING DING DING!
Starting off in the ring is Eimi Matsuda & Minoru Tanahashi and the two competitors shake hands before doing their routine circle of the ring. They greet each other in the centre with a standard collar to elbow tie up, with Minoru using his strength and size to gain the upper-hand, locking Matsuda tight into a side headlock. He slams her down to the canvas, keeping the hold in-tact as Matsuda tries to wrap her legs around his body to break the hold. Minoru brings her back up, attempting an Irish whip but Matsuda reverses. Minoru rebounds and is instantly taken off his feet with a drop toe hold by Matsuda. She rises, attempting a basement drop kick immediately afterwards but Tanahashi rolls out of the way.
He returns to his feet, grounding Matsuda with an arm-drag transitioned into an armbar. She fights her way back up to her feet, pushing him back against the padded corner as the pair break cleanly. Minoru then suddenly attempts strike but Matsuda blocks his attempt, grabbing him and going for a Tornado DDT herself but Minoru pushes her off before she can connect. The two race towards each other, with Matsuda ducking underneath he arm of Minoru, she springboards off of the ropes, twisting in the air as she flies towards Minoru, who manages to catch her! He positions her for a vertical suplex but Matsuda knee's her way out of it. She delivers a step-up enziguri to Minoro before rebounding off of the ropes, but Minrou counters with a knife edge chop, then an open palm, followed by an enziguri kick! Matsuda staggers backwards to her corner as Watanabe tags herself in, so does Mayumi! The two competitors meet in the centre of the ring, with Watanabe taking Mayumi down with an armdrag.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Mayumi continuing to work the arm of Watanabe, who must be wishing for this tour to be over!
They're back up but this time it's Mayumi who delivers an armdrag, locking into a arm-bar submission immediately afterwards, as Watanabe winces in pain. Mayumi drops her with another Japanese armdrag, with Watanabe sent tumbling towards the padded corner. Mayumi charges towards her, looking for a corner Yakuza kick but Watanabe lifts her up and onto the apron. Watanabe goes to strike her but Mayumi blocks it, delivering a forearm of her own. The Wonderkid staggers towards the centre of the ring as Mayumi suddenly springboards in, delivering a front missile dropkick! Mayumi tags in Minoru who springboards into the ring himself, landing a Missile dropkick on Matsuda! Minoru tags back out to Mayumi, who's already on the top rope, preparing herself before performing Final Flight MK2 (Inverted Phoenix Splash) on Watanabe for the 1-2-3!
WINNER: THE TANAHASHI TWINS (10:09)
PRESS CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHT 10/07/2023
Hiroki Omigawa walks into the media room, slightly different from his previous NJFC conference visit during A New Hope. Gone is the stoic, monk-like persona, and in its place a man with movie-star looks. Wearing dark sunglasses and several gold chains around his neck, he takes a seat and addresses the media.
HIROKI OMIGAWA: “A few weeks ago, I made it known that Hiro Omigawa was a top player in New Japan Fighting Championship. In front of a packed house, I came out and let Brennan Devlin know that I want what he currently has, the NFJC Global Championship.”
“During these last few weeks, I had a chance to reflect on my career. Although I’ve only just begun, I was doing what my trainer, Koji Murakami, instructed me to do. He wanted me to show strength, not through emotion, but by action. He wanted me to be The Glorious Weapon.”
“But that’s not me.”
“What I am, is a man who is ready for the SPOTLIGHT. I am a man who has paid his dues in puroresu and deserves the world. I’m not going to sit back and watch others thrive while I sit under the learning tree. My time will come in HyperFight, but in NJFC Hiroko Omigawa wants the gold.”
WEEKLY PURORESU: “Some will say you had your opportunity at the NJFC Global Championship at A New Hope in a four way match against Devlin, Ricky Valero, and Takashi Shinobu and failed to capitalize. Brennan Devlin was able to come out of that match victorious and the new Global Champion. What do you say about that?”
HIROKI OMIGAWA: “Honestly, they can think whatever they want, to be honest. You all watched the match, you all saw what Devlin’s girlfriends did to help their boy win. I was not offered a fair shot at that title and now at A New Hope I get that shot, one on one. Devlin is strong, and with Devlin-Gun at ringside, there’s no telling how fair of a shot I’ll be getting. That being said, Murakami Office is strong… and I may have a few allies that are ready if Devlin-Gun decides to get too involved.”
JAPSGRAPS: “You talked about Koji Murakami earlier and how he helped guide you once you started your career. Murakami Office has seen some success here in NJFC but you thrive as a singles competitor. Are you planning to cut ties with Murakami Office?”
HIROKI OMIGAWA: “Not at all! Murakami is like a father to me. I respect what he’s taught me and I give my appreciation for helping me start off in this sport. What Murakami doesn’t understand is that I am more than capable of being more than The Glorious Weapon. I had success in the states, winning championships, but I have yet to achieve success here in my country. You watch Murakami when he used to wrestle and I see myself more like that: an excited go-getter who can do it with style. I still represent MURAKAMI Office wherever I go. I just have to do it with my own flair.”
WRESTLING INQUIRER: “Brennan Devlin is truly one of the best professional wrestlers in the world. Some find his choices for victory aren’t the best, but he is hands down able to go up against anyone and everyone. What is your strategy against someone who has all the tools in the world?”
HIROKI OMIGAWA: “You must understand something about me, I have been in the ring with some of the best already in my rookie year. I’ve fought world champions. I’ve fought Japanese legends. I respect what Devlin-san has accomplished, but this is my time now. It’s the time of Hiroko Omigawa. I will bring Hyper FORCE to NJFC and I will take the Global Championship away from Brennan Devlin…. Thank you!”
With that, Omigawa walks off.
Somewhere within the Devlin-gun locker room, Brennan Devlin sat on a bench and was casually lacing up his boots. In the background, chatter could be heard from various members of the Devlin-gun stable as Brennan glared into the camera.
BRENNAN DEVLIN: “Fuck the press conference, I talk when I wanna talk, so I’m doing it right here tonight and it has been a fucking mess with some silver linings in my Devlin-gun family. When one person lets us down, everyone else stepped up. Lyra has been a beacon of hope throughout the tournament, Natalie and Cecily have been here, having my back, supporting me, Rowen, Nessa, and Box have been holding it down since they got here, and then we have that bald, beautiful bastard and Big Green in the MDC showing the world what a real tag team is. It’s great. Coupled with new faces like Malaya Diyosa who finally, finally has decided to show up and tap into some attitude, we’ve got a recipe for something special here within Devlin-gun. Don’t even get me started on the fact Ricki Wilde is coming.”
Devlin paused, something annoyed him in spite of the praise he was heaping on the members of his little group.
BRENNAN DEVLIN: “I get to spend my work with my lovely wives always in tow, I get to spend my work with my best friends with me, and you know what? People are still hellbent on making me unhappy. I shouldn’t be unhappy, but some of you wanna see to it. So we’ll start at the very beginning, Alyssa Grace, you wanna show up and try to copy me, you people are like sharks you see your better, me, having success, and you wanna come to try to take a bite, but you don’t just want one bite, you wanna eat the whole god damn thing but this company is already Devlin-guns meal.”
Another pause, annoyed.
BRENNAN DEVLIN: “I offered you a chance to be in Devlin-gun with people who would actually love you, I offered you love, and like a typical woman like yourself you choose the most self-destructive choices. But we knew that given you’ve escaped that weirdo Wakefield twice and still keep heading back. So what do you do, you choose to ignore the problems at your home and ignore the love Devlin-gun would provide you, to become a part of Myojin’s attempts to suck the clout from others. I care too much about your potential to see you become a part of the Myojin machine, where they have seventeen jobs in wrestling companies, while simultaneously using you to get their name out there even more. So I’ll end your suffering. You wanna retire in the future, that’s the rumor, right? I’ll be the one to do it if you ever set foot in the ring with me, for your own benefit.”
He stopped for a moment and let out another sigh, clearly in some kind of mood.
BRENNAN DEVLIN: “Then Hiro Omigawa, which is his real name mind you, wants my belt. Mine. Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine!!!”
Elisha and Keana come over and give him a hug, he’s clearly going through a lot and they see that.
BRENNAN DEVLIN: “I’m going to destroy your Murakami Office and put Devlin Enterprises in the goddamn building. All of my life, everything I get, people want to take it from me, but you’re gonna find out, I’m the one who does the taking. Devlin-gun are the ones who rule the NJFC now. In our first appearances, every single member of this group has instantaneously become Japanese wrestling legends.
And you, Hiro, you’re going to contribute to mine. You’ll be a part of something bigger, a footnote in the history of Brennan Devlin and the story of how he conquered Japan.”
With that, Devlin pulled the ladies onto his lap and they tuned out the cameras, instead carrying further conversation with Natalie, Cecily, Rowen and Nessa, and other members of Devlin-gun lurking within the locker room area. Devlin holds his NJFC Global Championship proudly above
MAI KADO: The following contest is scheduled for a one fall and is for the NJFC Global Championship! Introducing first...
Smoke fills the floor in the arena and red and yellow lights flash. "Beneath Cowdenbeath" by Gloryhammer plays on the PA as Hiroko Omigawa walks out from the curtain. He takes a moment as he looks with furrowed brow at the ring before calmly walking down the aisle.
MAI KADO: From Yokohama, Japan, weighing in a two hundred and fourteen pounds... Glorious Weapon (Eiko no Buki), HIRO OMIGAWA!
At the foot of the ring steps, he places his hands in prayer and bows before rushing up and into the ring. He charges towards the corner and lets out an emphatic roar before hopping down, waiting for the bell to ring.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Hiro Omigawa has already become a fan favorite here in New Japan Fighting Championship and I believe he has what it takes to become the NJFC Global Champion, Nakano. He's one of those competitors who bleeds Puroresu, who lives it and I'm sure he's going to have quite the tournament next month at Pride of Puroresu. But of course, the attention is all on tonight and whether he can overcome the challenge that is The Face of Wrestling, Brennan Devlin!
NAKANO GOZEN: Omigawa is an accomplished competitor who trained under the tutelage of the legendary Murakami at the Vicious Weapons Dojo. He is a jack of all trades who knows all styles of wrestling from all over the world, and also had a period in Miami where he reigned as a World Champion. He's no stranger to these pressure situations.
We get the first prelude to Brennan Devlins entrance as a low hum of music plays through the arena, Brennan is strolling through a foggy black void. A neon city glows in the distance as he comes to a stop - the camera panning up to him as he turns and smiles into the camera.
The screen above the stage begins to flicker various cars driving through the city, increasing the speed as the ominous music plays throughout the building. The crowd falls silent as they know what’s coming. Slowly we come back into the arena where two buxom women, Keana and Elisha emerge from the entrance tunnel, taking sides opposite each end. Keana looks lovely as always on one side, while Elisha stands upon the other looking just as gorgeous.
MAI KADO: “Ladies and gentlemen allow me to introduce… accompanied to the ring by Keana and Elisha, he notes he is called the following. He is the King Kong of Dong, the Sultan of Schlong, the Big Bad formerly of Boardwalk Wrestling, the Cornerstone previously of 4 Corners, the Pinnacle of Penile Perfection, the World Class of Ass, he is a Four Course Meal of Sex Appeal and you’re all about to be stuffed… By the Big Dog of Hog, the Weapon of Ass Destruction that fucked that one grandma to death.”
Panting.
MAI KADO: “Some have called him the Beast With Many Names, the Saint of the Taint, the Top Dog with the Big Hog, the Graps Devil, the Best Butt Machine, the Thirst Born Son, the Man With the Rear that Makes the Girls Cheer, the Hole Effin Show or the Holestoppah’ to some… He is the self-proclaimed best to ever ‘do it’ and the Longest in Professional Wrestling…
He is the FACE of Professional Wrestling. Please welcome — THE NJFC GLOBAL CHAMPION, BRENNAN DEVLIN!”
Devlin wanders onto the stage as ‘I Am Jesus’ by Infant Sorrow blares throughout the building. Slowly Devlin sauntered along the stage, glancing from each side out into the audience, before meeting Elisha and Keana and motioning for them to follow.
They would eventually loop around the ring with Elisha and Keana heading up the steps, Keana and Elisha would then stand behind him on the apron taunting the crowd. The lights flickering around then as Brennan slowly climbed up on the apron and joined them, smooching each before allowing them to enter the ring. Once inside, he would begin to talk strategy with them as he shed his entrance robe and the music faded down.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: .The Face of Wrestling, the head of Devlin-Gun, The NJFC Global Champion, Brennan Devlin making his second defense. He looks cool, calm and composed right now but that's exactly what you'd expect out of the champion.
NAKANO GOZEN: Devlin-Gun is a growing commodity here in New Japan Fighting Championship. Devlin hasn't just started an army, he's started a revolution and sooner or later, they're going to have all the titles here in NJFC, mark my words, Korato. Devlin is smart and he's growing a faction for the ages right now. And with the upcoming championships yet to be unveiled, who knows what's in store for Devlin-Gun? I do. It's success Korato, and I'm sure Devlin will lead the way here tonight.
The Face of Wrestling Brennan Devlin leans back against the padded corner as his Devlin-Gun compadres cheer him on. Meanwhile the rest of the arena is firmly behind Hiroki Omigawa, as the name; 'Omigawa' echoes through the arena. Hiro cracks a smile as he begins to circle the ring and Brennan Devlin simply smirks, beginning to circle the ring himself. The two competitors collide in the centre of the ring with a standard collar to elbow tie-up, tussling in position as each man tries to gain the upper-hand. Devlin prevails, managing to lock Omigawa tight into a side headlock whilst pushing him back into the direction of the padded corner.
He rakes at his eyes discreetly as Omigawa winces in pain, with the fans jeering as Devlin releases Omigawa and holds his arms up, innocently. Devlin heads back over to the Omigawa, clubbing him around the back with a forearm strike before levelling him in the corner. He goes for a knife edge chop but Omigawa ducks underneath it, reversing the situation as he lights up the chest of the champion. He transitions to European uppercuts as Devlin is momentarily rocked by the corner of the ring. Omigawa Irish whips him into the opposite corner before charging at him, attempting a lariat but Devlin sidesteps him, bringing him down to the canvas with a snapmare takedown before delivering a running boot to the face of the seated Omigawa. Devlin covers for the 1-but Omigawa immediately kicks out.
They race back to their feet and Omigawa manages to take Devlin down with a side headlock takedown. Devlin wraps his legs over Omigawa, forcing him to kip through as the two return to their feet. Devlin takes him down with an armdrag transitioned into an armbar submission. Omigawa rolls forward, then back before kipping up, wrenching the arm of Devlin before yanking down on it. He delivers a series of shoot kicks to the chest of Devlin, pushing him back against the padded corner as he does so. Devlin manages to catch one of his attempts and drops him with a single leg take down. He goes for the sharpshooter but Omigawa kicks back, kicking Devlin in the face who squeals a little. Devlin charges towards the ascending Omigawa, who ducks underneath his arm before heading to the ropes himself. He rebounds off of it, sliding by the legs of Devlin and swiping him off his feet with his arms. He mounts on top of him, locking him into a Boston crab submission as Devlin momentarily struggles, kicking his feet as he tries to head towards the ropes. Keana pulls on the leg of Devlin, latching it onto the rope before shouting towards the official to inform him! The fans jeer as Hanzo orders Omigawa to release the hold.
Devlin is by the corner of the ring as Omigawa approaches him, grabbing him by his hair. He levels him by the corner, delivering a series of backhanded chops to the chest of Devlin, lighting him up as he increases the intensity. Omigawa then slaps him in the face before driving his forearm into his head. He brings him out of the corner, attempting a vertical suplex but Devlin manages to roll behind him, pushing him into the ropes. Omigawa rebounds and Devlin meets him with a Sling Blade. The champ immediately locks Omigawa into a sharpshooter submission, nodding his head as he tightens the hold.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Both of these competitors are well versed in all styles of wrestling, which makes this contest even more interesting as we're already seeing a wide variety of styles at display here.
Omigawa manages to crawl his way towards the ropes, forcing the break.
NAKANO GOZEN: The Global Championship truly is a representation of global puroresu. The Face of Wrestling is the champion for a reason and Omigawa is proving to be a worthy candidate already as he escapes the sharpshooter.
Devlin angles Omigawa by the corner of the ring, driving his foot against his face before holding it there. The official begins to count and Devlin holds his arms up, smirking as he fake pleads to the ref. He charges himself up by the opposite corner before performing a hesitation dropkick on Omigawa. He goes for the 1-2-but once again Omigawa kicks out, shaking his head and roaring as he does. Devlin delivers a barrage of headbutts, trying to incapacitate Omigawa but it's only seems to be awakening The Glorious Weapon, who rises to his feet, leaning against the head of Devlin. Devlin delivers a forearm strike and Omigawa replies with one of his own. He alternates between forearms and back elbows before grabbing Devlin and attempting an Irish whip but he reverses. Omigawa rebounds off of the ropes with Devlin running towards him, looking for a hip attack but Omigawa counters expertly, catching Devlin and dropping him with a release German suplex!
The Face of Wrestling arches onto his back, wincing a little as Omigawa lifts Devlin up yet again, attempting a side suplex but Devlin powers himself back down. He delivers back elbows to the head of Omigawa, who gradually releases him. Devlin goes for an eye-rake but Omigawa blocks his attempt, delivering an open palm strike, followed by a forearm, a back elbow, spinning backfist, before dropping him with a lariat. He immediately picks Devlin back up, the fans applauding him as he delivers a series of strikes.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Hiro Omigawa is the truth, ladies and gentlemen. It's as simple as that, this kid is the future of Puroresu.
NAKANO GOZEN: He may very well be the present if he's able to win the title tonight Korato.
Omigawa strikes Devlin across the neck with a stiff chop before stunning the champ with an enziguri kick. Omigawa suddenly drops the champion with a perfectly executed brainbuster, sending shockwaves through the arena as Devlin holds onto his head and rolls around the ring. Omigawa gets to his feet and decides to scale the ropes, positioning himself for a moonsault. He flies off, executing the move and landing on the champion! He covers him for the 1-2-but the champion kicks out! Brennan Devlin rolls to the outside of the ring and is immediately taken care of by Keana and Elisha.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Brennan Devlin buying himself some time on the outside, some smart play from the champion.
NAKANO GOZEN: I don't think Omigawa wants to let him rest, he's on his way out.
Omigawa rolls to the outside and grabs Devlin by his hair, not intimidated by the Devlin-Gun presence on the outside, he swings Devlin back towards the ring apron. Devlin rolls himself into the ring as Omigawa exchanges words with Devlin-Gun on the outside. The distraction leads to a perfect opening for Brennan Devlin who performs a baseball slide dropkick onto Omigawa, who crashes hard into the guard-railing. Devlin gets to his feet and grabs Omigawa by his gut, performing a Gutwrench Suplex on the outside.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: What a sickening Gutwrench Suplex from the champion! Taking some pages out of Trey Bouchet, I see.
NAKANO GOZEN: The Face of Wrestling is a Suplexpert, apparently.
The Face of Wrestling rolls himself back into the ring and demands the referee to start his count, and he does. Omigawa struggles, not seeming to know where he is initially as the fans encourage the Glorious Weapons. The referee gets to the count of twelve before Omigawa finally realizes where he is and begins to clutch onto the guard-railing, using it to help himself back up.
NAKANO GOZEN: The Face of Wrestling would happily take a count out victory but Hiro isn't down and out just yet, he wants that Global Championship!
At the count of eighteen, he's launching himself under the bottom rope, with Brennan Devlin immediately onto him like a rash with kicks to the back. He brings him up to his feet, attempting a suplex but Omigawa rolls down behind, locking Devlin in for what seems to be his finishing Revelation (Dragon Suplex), but Devlin elbows his way out of it. He then delivers a Pele kicks which stunts Omigawa, who staggers around, struggling to remain on his feet. Devlin springboards off of the ropes, performing a stunner on Omigawa! Omigawa staggers back into the ropes, launching himself off and flipping the champion inside out with a lariat out of nowhere!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: LARIATO! LARIATO! LARIATO!
NAKANO GOZEN: The Glorious Weapon with a luscious lariat!
Omigawa rises to his feet, clapping his hands as the fans get behind him. Devlin gradually rises to his as Omigawa heads towards the ropes, springboarding off of them, he performs his signature FROM MOST HIGH - Springboard Spinning Wheel Kick, going for the cover to secure the 1-2-NO, Devlin kicked out! Omigawa attempts his signature CROSS BREAKER - Grounded Hammerlock & Inverted Arm Breaker, but Devlin immediately manages to scoot his way towards the ropes to force the break.
Devlin gets himself up by the corner of the ring, calling the official over as Omigawa measures himself. He charges towards him, with Devlin grabbing the official and putting him in front so that Omigawa connected with him instead. The official crumbles to the canvas, arching his back as Devlin delivers a low blow to Omigawa, as jeers suddenly echo through the arena.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Oh c'mon, not like this!
NAKANO GOZEN: You're acting like this isn't what Devlin-Gun do, Korato. This is textbook Devlin!
Omigawa crumbles to the canvas, on all fours whilst Devlin rebounds off of the ropes, his finishing FACE TIME (Curb Stomp) connects! He hooks his legs for the 1-2-3 but referee isn't even counting, he's rolled to the outside of the ring!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: It's all coming back to bite him in the ass now, Devlin gets the three count but the official is nowhere to be seen!
Devlin runs his fingers through his hair in frustration, heading over to the official and shaking him up, demanding that he pays attention to the match. Devlin grabs Omigawa, lifting him up and dropping him with a suplex. He rolls through, keeping the hold intact, rising to his feet and thrusting his hips, before dropping Omigawa with another suplex.
KORATO SHIOZAKI: I believe he calls this one Pattern of Abuse. With extra hip thrust.
NAKANO GOZEN: This guy really is a suplexpert.
Devlin goes for a third, lifting Omigawa up but the Glorious Weapon manages to roll down behind him. He counters, nailing his signature EXODUS - High Impact Swinging Back Elbow, following this up with his signature GLORIOUS BOMB - Fireman’s Carry into a Northern Lights Bomb! He covers for the 1-2-but Devlin kicks out!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Neither one of these guys are giving up!
Devlin uses the ropes to get to his feet by the padded corner. Omigawa charges towards him and Devlin once again tries to use the official as a shield but Omigawa stops himself before he can connect. Devlin goes for a running hip attack but Omigawa sidesteps, with the official once again feeling the full force of the attack. Omigawa quickly manages to get in behind the champion, performing his finishing REVELATION - Bridging Dragon Suplex, for the 1-2-3!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: The official isn't counting, Hanzo is down and out again!
Omigawa gets to his feet, frustrated.
NAKANO GOZEN: Both of these guys could've and should've won this already!
He goes over to the official, who's half hanging out of the ring.
Keena grabs the Global Championship and slides it in for Brennan Devlin!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: No! Not like this!
Omigawa turns and Devlin connects with the title to the face!
KORATO SHIOZAKI: Devlin with the title to Omigawa!
The Face of Wrestling throws the title out of the ring as the referee turns. He rebounds off of the ropes, performing his finishing Face Time (Curb Stomp)! He covers Omigawa for the 1-2-3!
WINNER: BRENNAN DEVLIN (21:22)MAI KADO: From Yokohama, Japan, weighing in a two hundred and fourteen pounds... Glorious Weapon (Eiko no Buki), HIRO OMIGAWA!

"OMIGAWA - OMIGAWA - OMIGAWA!"
