I've given all I can
It's not enough
I've given all I can
But we're still on the payroll
What's stronger? The mind or the body?
In truth this is a question in which there is no wrong answer. It all depends upon the personal driving force of each and every single person. It also depends upon the standing viewpoint in which they are regarding the obstacle standing in their path. We all view the exact same thing in completely different ways. That is the true beauty of the world we live in now.
If it was nothing more than a question of mind over matter. There would be no doubt left behind that Bronx Valescence had this match at Retribution in the bag. His body seemed to be falling to pieces with each passing day and somehow he manages to keep reaching deep down within himself to find that driving desire to keep him fighting. He's got one goal firm in the back of his mind and it all centers on the golden championship belt which has found itself in the hands of Tara Michaels-Davidson.
It had been her own driving desire which made it possible for her to hold the championship belt up high in the air to cement her place of dominance here in NJFC. It would take someone who had a truly remarkable drive within themselves to be able to rip her golden prize out of her hands. It would take someone who was strong of both mind and body.
Something which Bronx Valescence is not.
Or is he?
Nobody can deny that anything that comes out of the mouth of Bronx Valescence should be taken at face value. To place any kind of real trust in this man would be a foolish mistake. Especially if the person in question was the one who found themselves standing at the opposite side of the ring from him looking to walk away with a victory. To trust that anything which comes pouring out of his mouth is the gospel truth is equal to trusting in those e-mail scams that continue to circle themselves around the internet still to this day.
A costly mistake.
Tara Davidson is not one to make such mistakes. Especially not where her career is concerned. From the moment when she first stepped foot inside of a NJFC ring she has taken it upon herself to ensure she proves her worth as one of the most dominant competitors. Thus far she has been quite successful in her journey. She has secured herself both the glory of holding the official title of being the one and only Queen of NJFC, but she also takes pride in carrying around the GPC Jnr Heavyweight championship belt. It had been quite the battle for her to secure her hold on he championship belt and she wasn't about to start trembling at the first thought of someone lusting after the championship belt she had so coveted in the first place.
In her mind it made perfect sense that the GPC Jnr Heavyweight championship belt would be the one that Bronx Valescence would set his sight upon in his quest to prove himself to be nothing more than your average run of the mill Twitter troll. Though it seems quite ironic that he would feel the need to begin his quest with some Twitter trolling almost as if he was hoping to put Tara Davidson off guard in order to help give himself the edge walking into Retribution. A sure sign that he knows nothing about the woman who's holding the championship belt he is hoping to be able to put around his own waist. She has never been one to put any kind of value into what someone decides to tweet.
In the end it has nothing to do with what happens inside of the ring.
The truth will reveal itself in between of those ropes. Once that bell rings there is going to be no more games and the real Bronx Valescence is going to be revealed. There is not telling exactly what kind of substance he is made of underneath all of that false bravado. It could very well be that it is nothing more than foolish pride which pushes him to desire all of those things which will forever be out of his reach. He could allow himself to be so blinded by his desire to hold a championship belt in his hands that he will blind himself to the fact that it is a destiny which was never meant to be his and therefore will never become a reality. The truth of the matter is that the only person that is truly in charge of Bronx's destiny would be Bronx Valescence himself if he is able to see through the end of that long twisted tunnel.
He wants to prove himself so desperately and the chance has been handed over to him on a silver platter. A chance against the reigning GPC Jnr Heavyweight champion. A chance to pull off the upset against the Queen of NJFC. Wouldn't that be just the ticket to have more to his credit besides the fact of having built himself a nasty reputation all across the Twitterverse. There is no doubting that of all the things Bronx Valescence is that a loud mouth most certainly could be his biggest claim to fame.
However what happens when actions must speak louder than words?
Will those injuries prove themselves to be a true fact? Or will he be revealed to be nothing more than an impressive liar who was able to fool even the best of doctors? Will the body quit long before the mind realizes that it's all been for nothing? Will this be the loss that finally proves itself to be enough for Bronx Valescence to truly hang up those wrestling boots for good?
There are so many questions when not a single one of them has been answered with the truth.
The one thing which Tara Davidson knows for sure is that whether or not Bronx is telling the truth, she is going to teach him a much needed lesson in humility inside of the ring. He wants her championship belt? He's going to have to push himself to the very edge and beyond to prove to her just how badly he wants that belt or reveal himself to be nothing more than a foolish man who's backed himself into a corner. In the end it makes no difference to the Queen of NJFC. Whether Bronx Valescence proves himself to be a worthy adversary or nothing more than a court jester.
He will be forced to kneel down in front of the Queen inside of her ring.
