Maxim had entered Emi’s house in Japan after speaking with a friend on trying to find a lead on where Alexander Rosangla was at. Some had rumored that he was hiding in some of the smaller cities or in the country side.
Emi: You alright Maxim?
Maxim looked up at his half cousin Emi Tsukino. He could see the worry in her eyes.
Maxim: Emi, I’m fine.
Just Lucy got hurt during our hunt of Alexander.
Emi gasped loudly and ran over to me.
Emi: Is she okay?!
Maxim: Yes she's fine! Relax.
Emi: How can you say that?! My cousin is hurt! Is she going to be able to wrestle for both NJFC and SCW?
Maxim nodded trying to get Emi to calm down. He couldn't blame her though. Emi was emotional and he hated seeing her when she was freaking out. Maxim sat her down on the sofa.
Maxim: Stay here, I'll make you some food.
Emi nodded and Maxim walked off.
Maxim: I feel for my cousin, she's worried about Lucy and I am too. But Lucy's tough. She'll be fine! What is it with these guys thinking they’re in our league? The French Mime Assassins think they’re in our leagues? Yeah, no, they’re so below us they’d need to climb up ladders to lace our boots, they’re so below our league that we’re in heaven and they’re in hell, this isn’t me being an ass hole, this isn’t even me being fake, this is me telling the gods honest one hundred percent truth.
Have you racked up any impressive victories recently? Have you even secured any opportunities that you've earned instead of half assing your way into? And above all, are you even experienced in knowing what it is like to hold championship gold in your hands? Through capturing them following a match as opposed to essentially following through with what is the dictionary definition of theft. Think about this long and hard, you two.
he only positive you truly have going for you is your tenacity. While you perhaps should have walked away some time ago, you haven't. Well done. I do applaud that because it's not seen in everyone. There have been plenty of times in the past, where we have seen some athletes within the wrestling world suffer numerous losses before ultimately quitting and walking away because things are not going their way... at least you're not 'that guy'. That is perhaps the one positive you bring. You are a fighter and that is excellent but you refuse to understand the challenges ahead of you as well as failing to understand what it is going to take to thrive in an environment such as this.
To perform in the beautiful Japan is like a dream to me. Does it mean quite as much to you as it does to me, Mimes? Do you even understand the enormity of this challenge that is being presented to you? Or will you adopt the position as the stereotypical 'big guy'? The one who believes that simply due to his size and stature, he is impossible to defeat. I understand that you will look at me as weak, purely because of my appearance. You wouldn't be the first to make that same mistake. In fact, it happens far too often. Something in the minds of those with significant muscular physique believe that they are unstoppable because of strength. I do not look strong in the least yet I fight off all challenges and find a way to counter that. I have plenty in my arsenal to fall back on but do you?
A very wise man once said… “ We know ourselves in the terms of what others have viewed us as. Having the disadvantage of not ever being able to look at one’s self, the true self. Always staying behind, hidden away from the natural eyes to where one cannot even determine whether or not they truly like it. At times, hideous, potentially appalling.”
This man spoke truth on so many different levels and when it ultimately came down to it – one must consider this to be a fact. How many times throughout all of this has someone placed what they viewed me as, as a bar for me to reach. That proverbial glass ceiling that I, personally, had to shatter because it was to live up to the expectation that people have set for myself and not I.
Myself and Lucy make the ideal team for plenty of reasons but which ones are going to completely eclipse the efforts of Mimes? The fact that we both have significant strength on our side. In addition to that, Lucy's got speed and agility. I have intense strike power and neither of you will stand a chance of taking me down... you just don't have it in you. And finally on our list, there's experience and success. Again, we've both got more than enough of that. I'd love to know precisely what it is that the two of you are bringing to this... I'm aware, it's most likely going to be dirty tactics and cheap moves but if you attempt to implement them this week? You've really chosen the wrong people to try it against...
Try your best because we're giving it our all...good luck.
Maxim faced palm, he forgot to ask...
Maxim: Ah shit. Emi what do you want?!
Emi: Dumplings and Mochi!
Maxim chuckled as the scene fades out.
Emi: You alright Maxim?
