OOC: As I've announced IC, I've entered Konrad in the global wrestling tournament called Manifest Destiny and I thought to post this RP here if anybody wants to read it.
Zipline adventure park. Knoxville, Tennessee. Monday 9th May.
It's been really hard the last few months for Konrad after the miscarriage of his child thanks to his twin brother Markus Lord Raab and another monster called Phantom and the fact he recently lost a match to become a SCW TV champion and things have been going way downhill since in terms of his wrestling ability and skills. The tournament really meant a lot to Konrad who's the kind of guy who's completely the opposite to Markus Lord Raab.
Unlike him, he will not use violence or weapons towards anybody in the wrestling ring, not even to ones who got Konrad annoyed. Konrad is almost the same as Markus on being dedicated to wrestling, but he rarely ever goes to trash talk on someone as it wasn't Konrad's thing. He never ever likes to bad mouth people, especially ones who he's never met and heard of before like in the case of Shawn Jessica Hart.
It was also a chance to represent the colours of Supreme Championship Wrestling, Ground Zero Wrestling Association, World Wrestling Headquarters and New Japan Fighting Championships that he loved being apart of those companies, especially when some of his fellow wrestlers from WWH and NJFC were also apart of the Manifest Destiny tournament as well.
You can see it's covered full of trees around the jungle, except that the video was taken at an zipline adventure park where you can do many different courses around from the beginners to the advance to the expert course. Konrad was going to do all three and besides, he loves to do things while he talks about wrestling and his matches and in this case since the tournament was tough, he thought doing the assault courses would help him in a huge way.
The kind that would involve some training while speaking as he's wearing some protective gear, a microphone to put on his head before putting a helmet to put around his head as he's already fired up to start the beginners version of the assault course which involved a lot of bridges, climbing nets, zip lines, tunnels, balancing challenges and rolling barrels as he starts by walking on the bridge as he begins to speak.
Konrad Raab: “What a challenge I have to overcome with not only trying to complete this challenge, but also by going through sixty three other opponents to win the entire tournament, but I don't want to get too ahead of myself just yet because it happens that we have to overcome our first opponents we face in matches first. Which it comes down to my first opponent or my only opponent depending on the outcome of the match who seems to have a very interesting personality, a kind of one that I feel would make you laugh at times, a guy I've quite frankly not really heard of before and that's Shawn Jessica Hart.”
Konrad nodded as he mentioned the name of his opponent he remembered from the top of his head as he struggles a bit on the bridge and still wasn't that close on being half way through the bridge yet as he looks at the others in front of him and pushes himself forward as he continues to speak.
Konrad Raab: “The thing about these tournaments is you don't really know your opponents very well and barely have to no time to know about them, that's until you have the internet to look up information about your opponents which is the case of Shawn Jessica Hart here. I can see that I'm already at a disadvantage when it comes to the experience of being in this business as that's something I clearly lack since I've only been in this business for four years and I can see the guy has achieved a lot during his almost twenty year career.
Won more than a few titles in his career and someone I completely see as a huge target big time. I always pay attention to my opponent's abilities from what I've read in the bios and he seems to have a lot of speedy moves which already makes him quite dangerous at least for me because he has what it takes to achieve a lot more in this business. There is one thing we do have in common just looking from the stats the last few days and that's both of us being quite technical wrestlers. I got a lot of moves that are technical myself and that could make an even contest between me and Shawn here. I never ever ignore the threat I have in front of me. I can't avoid to because if I do, I'd make mistakes and lose this important match that help me advance through the tournament."
The grit of Konrad's teeth is shown as he's trying to get through the tough bridge he has ahead of him and he manages to reach the end of it as he runs towards the very tall and large climbing ropes as he starts to climb, thinking at the same time what he has read about him as he eventually remembers.
Konrad Raab: “I'm not going to be someone who trashes opponents because I'm not that kind of guy unless I'm provoked or knowing I will, but because I don't know you, I won't Shawn. I did see things I didn't agree with when it comes to you, especially the chance to try and cheat yourself to defeat opponents. That's one of the things I just don't like. I know and realise a lot of wrestlers are going to cheat in this business to win matches, but I'm not one of those guys, far from it as a matter of fact as NJFC and WWH wrestlers would know about me.
But I'm someone who fights nearly everyone I've been placed in the ring against to their absolute limits without trying to gain an advantage of cheating and most importantly, using violence and weapons to win. Why? Because I'm not a violent wrestler, I'm not a wrestler who uses weapons and most of all, I'm not a wrestler who uses cheap handed tactics to win because I respect this business far too much to go so low that it would be a complete disrespect to this business.”
Konrad knew he had to introduce himself to the business a little bit more as he's quite unknown, mainly because of his brother overshadowing him and not in a good way either and he got a little stuck on climbing up the rope walls, getting his feet in a tangle, but manages to break free from them and continues climbing.
Konrad Raab: “I'm sure everyone or mostly everyone has heard of Lord Raab? It's true, me and him are twin brothers, but not exactly as you expect as Markus Lord Raab unlike me would use violence and weapons to every wrestler around him and will say disgusting things about women particular because of his past. I was also apart of the attack in the past, but he unlike me can't move on from it so please don't get us confused guys just because we look the same out of our masks and share the same name, doesn't mean we have the same personalities.
I believe I've pretty much been more successful than Markus has as well when it comes to achieving things in this business. Before WEW closed down, I broke the record of being the longest ever Universal champion in history and I also captured the Titan's title in the company's last ever PPV, Legacy against a man who was my mentor and who got me in this business, a guy named Vantage. If it wasn't for him and the support of my wife, I wouldn't be wrestling right now.”
Konrad owed his career a lot to them as they were the ones who got him here, the ones who pushed him to get where he is today, even still picking up experience here and there for the sport as Konrad is half way up the top now, huffing and puffing from the amount of toll the course has taken for him and he remembered the tournament and getting through to the second round was even tougher as he continued climbing before speaking again.
Konrad Raab: “I also lasted three whole months as the Total Wrestling Entertainment Heavyweight champion as well, defeating Randy Fields twice and I believe I was the longest Heavyweight champion since they reopened for a while, only to lose against Chris Matthews in a screw job loss I had since me and the owner President Chase Anderson really didn't like me because I was wrestling too safe, but it got me where I am as when I was an evil guy during my early days, I was disrespectful to every single talent around me, even going as far as burning American flag which is something I never get over because I was so drunk at the time and destroying someone's dad's grave too. So I've not always been a good man when it comes to my behaviour in this business.
In fact, being a bad guy almost cost me my wrestling job, landing flat on my butt most of the time, but the StarrDome wrestling school really helped me teach ways of me respecting this business and even got punished very hard, leaving myself embarrassed in front of the whole class. Now I've changed for the better and achieved a lot more success as being The Iceman where I love anything and everything to do with Ice if you've not noticed already. Hell a lot of the time, I carry an iced bottle of water with me, but obviously I wasn't allowed to this time cos of the rule of not being allowed to drink or eat during the course.”
He pauses speaking for a few minutes as he takes a breather after reaching to the top of the bridge and he gets himself hooked up on the zip line and holds on tight to go down to the water area as he stands up and looks at the balance poles he had to do for two minutes as he gulped, knowing that his balance was not the best, considering being a wrestler and all, but he was going to give it a try as he jumps on one and stands for a while.
Konrad Raab: “I also heard that you've won many title matches in your career along with having some memorable feuds with people which is interesting to say the least along with other different things you've done like wrestling in a swimming pool match, wearing some women clothes which I think it's funny in a good way of course, but who am I to judge since I'm not that kind of person, but what matters is the importance of this tournament and the match itself. I'm sure you understand how much it means to represent your company in this tournament.
It means and matters a lot to me because it's giving back the respect I have for these companies I'm apart of, although I'm only a special guest wrestler in World Wrestling Headquarters because I'm more of a trainer there, but the other three companies however I wrestle at full time and I do the best I can to win matches and I haven't recently, far from it with my losses against Vixen Cain, Jake Starr and Simon Lyman but it doesn't matter if I can achieve this much bigger goal of going through to the next round and defeating you in the ring.”
Konrad grits his teeth again as he was losing grip, but luckily, only just hang on before going to the next balancing post and stands there for a bit before speaking again.
Konrad Raab: “I will make all the companies I'm apart of proud because of my love and passion for this business and sometimes if I want to win something, I do get that frostbite of anger in me to push myself a lot to gain a win and in this case, I have the same feeling. I have a lot of frost up my bum to be one of the best wrestlers in the tournament if not and I hate to say this the best wrestler in this tournament and I've got to defeat the big threat of Shawn in front of me.
I know I've not spoken much of your achievements, but believe me, I already know the kind of wrestler you are and if you think you can beat me with cheating to win, you are surely mistaken because I will prevent you from doing that and make sure you bring your best against me and I will either pin or make you tap out because of the frostbite I have and the ice bones in my body say I can be successful and go through to face my next opponent on being much closer to being the winner of The Manifest Destiny tournament because representing and showing honour to wrestling is my destiny and I will prove the world of doing so. Shawn Jessica Hart, prepare to be Iceinated by The Iceman.”
Konrad's finished speaking as he continues to complete the course on being on the balance poles along with crawling through tunnels and doing one more bridge before zip lining towards the end of the tough gruelling course as he takes all the equipment off and his helmet before passing the microphone to the Manifest Destiny camera crew before he leaves the zip line course to go back to his hotel to do some gym work for a little bit before going to his room to chat to his wife to see if she was alright before he takes his medication along with drinking more water as he gets into his bed and goes straight to sleep before the big day of the match against Shawn Jessica Hart.
