Wordcounter claims this rp is 1000 words long while Microsoft Office say it is 997.
So I think it's within the word limit.
I hope it is a good read.

Today we are inside some kind of boiler room. The place appears to be empty but the sheer heat in the room is more than evidence enough to show that it is currently active. However, among the noise of steam, the sound of cheering can vaguely be heard. The quietness of it though makes it unclear on what it specifically is. So we move deeper and deeper into this room, passing a few boilers in the process, to finally arrive at the source of the words…a television screen. However the footage seem to be a constant loop of the moment Devin Hearst scored the three count over Ace King.
“What an event A New Hope In Tokyo was…”
The moment those words barely enter our ears we spin around to see the Purple Haired Dynamo, known as Otaki, sitting down on a metal folding chair. While she is wearing a black pair of pants, it might be worth mentioning that all the pale Brit has on her upper body is a rather revealing black bra…maybe she underestimated the heat this room produces?
“There were amazing showcase matches, a seven minute war and we get to see the man known as ‘The Gambler’ almost get his head kicked into the fifth row of the Ryōgoku Kokugikan. Hey, Ace? How does it feel to almost get murdered in front of eleven-thousand people? It probably sucks, doesn’t it? Of course it does, I’ve asked a couple of old enemies that question in the past…but that is the distant past and today is only thirteen days away from my NJFC debut when I take on said Gambler in the first round of a tournament to crown the new NJFC Global Champion. So I guess I can be somewhat grateful that you didn’t die back in Tokyo…since a bye into the next round is a coward’s way out…
…and I’m not sure about you…
…but…
…I am no coward.
However I doubt you’re a coward either, Ace. After all, you’re the Television Champion of EWC and practically a legend of CZW. Hell – considering the type of matches he has been through, especially that rather interesting one known as ‘Tower of Power’ – it would be wise for people to consider you one of the favourites to win the gold. And let’s not forget how much of a fight you gave the undefeated Devin Hearst, who also is in our very bracket.
Oh I bet people are all secretly hoping for an Ace versus Devin rematch in the semi-finals of this tournament, especially with how amazing the both of you were in your confrontation in Tokyo. Oh what a party it will be? A simply fantastic one I bet…
But what did Super Kami Guru said to Dendi again? Oh yeah: ‘every party needs a pooper, that’s why they invited you’…
So prepare to scowl and call me the party pooper for that is what I plan to do when I defeat you in the middle of the Osaka-jō Hall.”
Even though appearing to be calm, at least calm for someone in a bloody hot boiler room, it is clear – from the tone of her voice alone when she referenced Team Four Star – that the milky skinned woman is confident entering this match.
“But let me guess, Ace, this ain’t the first time you’ve faced a confident person who thinks that they can take your very best and best. Not just as a nine year wrestling veteran, but also back beforehand in the gambling side of Vegas. However I’ll do you a favour and bring in an example…Jason Hunter, not only a friend of mine but also the son of Ruth – who herself happens to be both your old friend and a role model to me – who not only felt like you didn’t belong with him but also defeated you without too much of a problem.
No disrespect intended but, no matter who he was trained by, that child who beat you has absolutely nothing on me. I won’t go into detail about that since it’s stupid to get one’s self mentally side-tracked when their opposition is the person exactly opposite of the table…be it Poker, Top Trumps or Duel Monsters.
But maybe that’s what you’re relying on, aren’t you Ace? A simple rookie mistake. Falling for a little bluff. Tripping over myself. You’re probably waiting for the ideal opportunity to strike, always waiting until the very split second you’re in the position to win. But something you need to realise is this…I don’t make mistakes, I don’t fall for bluffs and I, for damn sure, don’t trip up. For I may be many things, both good and bad, but the one thing I bloody well am is a master tactician. Be them masked mystery men, Hong Kong sensations or mixed martial artists, I have always found a strategy to defeat them all.
So feel free to bring your very best. Hell, feel free to bring plan A, B, C and every other plan from D to Z for I will tell you right now that it will not be good enough to defeat me…”
Focus, pure unadulterated focus is what could best describe the way Otaki is glaring directly at us while saying her words. After a couple of seconds the she leans back a bit and lets out a light chuckle before slowly standing up.
“Nothing you, or anyone else who comes to Osaka on that day, can do will ever be enough to stop me from becoming the NJFC Global Championship.
And you all can bet on that.”
While saying her words the Emo Princess slowly tilts her head towards the right and once she finished them the milky skinned woman raises her head back up straight before she steps past us – with a look of possible determination – leaving the last thing we see before fading to black to be one of the boilers.
