- What is active participation?
- How am I going to get the push?
It really is, up to you.
1. A couple of days before our shows, we hold press conferences in order to introduce characters, talk about their matches with hype towards it. Like the UFC would before their events and also how NJPW would. These press conferences are a great way to pave a path for your character and we often feature what your character has said in the press conference in the build up for the match. You can only post one press conference submission unless stated otherwise, with a maximum word length of 1000 words. We pride ourselves on keeping things short, straight to the point and making it easier for you, the writers.
2. Twitter has become a great vice within the community in the use of promotion towards matches, etc. Of course, if you're character is on the site and you're actively promoting the match, this is great and we encourage that all of our roster members strive to do this. However, if you're character isn't comfortable with this method, due to a character trait i.e them not participating in social media, then don't worry too much - it depends on the type of character you're representing.
3. What we also use within results quite often is the promo's you submit before the results. The deadline for promo's are 48 hours before the results, and we use these promo's as segments, just like the press conferences - to add a real buildup towards the match, trying to make it as authentic and memorable as we possibly can. There is a word limit of 1000 words and you're permitted to one post, unless stated otherwise.
4. Being able to take initiative and plan a story arc with someone. I love it when people are able to message me with ideas, and suggestions, and what they have planned for their character with someone else. If you have something, don't be afraid to message me about it because it's more than likely I'll give it the go ahead. Being able to take a storyline into your own hands and run with it, that's what it's all about.
Meaning our shows don't have a set date, there's no knowing when will be our next event until management put up a date but the likelihood is. Some months there may be two shows, we might then skip a month with no events, and then return with another two followed by a another show for the following much, etc. As well as our supershows, we also hold Road Shows. Now, we will message particular individuals who'd we want involved in these road shows, and these shows are completely angled. Meaning you'll need no promotion, no sell, you'll be messaged with a proposal and how this will help with your character.
Essentially, New Japan Fighting Championship is a hybrid angled promotion. Meaning the outcome to matches relies on active participation within the promotion.

How we work is on a sporadic schedule!
