10 QUESTIONS WITH...
1. How are you, first and foremost?
"I'm good, winning this title was a nice accomplishment. Another feather to stick into my cap. No rest for me though. Not anytime soon, at least."
2. How is Japan treating you?
"Japan is great, I always enjoy coming back here. Some of the fans are still receptive towards me, despite my attitude at the press conferences. I guess they understand the difference, they see a man driven by his goals and choose not to belittle him for it. I don't need them to accept me if they can understand that."
3. What was your reasoning behind joining New Japan?
"Last year was a chance to try something new, a tag team tournament with a new partner. I had tried to get Aidan Carlisle involved, my former teammate in Art of War. She wasn't interested, but Sativa was. It was a new challenge, teaming with somebody I hadn't really spent too much time in the ring with before. We did well, better than anyone could have imagined. That tournament was a nice change of pace, seeing an opportunity for that Global title was too hard to pass up."
4. What's the difference between NJFC and 4CW?
"There's a lot, it feels more relaxed here. Feels like I don't have to watch my back, twenty-four seven. There's a different air of competition too. In 4CW you have to be on your A-Game because everyone else is. Here it feels like everyone is trying to constantly step up, they all want to improve even if they can't. I can respect that, it gives me a different vibe. I really enjoy that, I think."
5. Your favorite match of the Global Takeover series?
"My match with Jack Tillman. He's a great talent, and he really brought out the best in me I believe. We had a damn good match, I think we could have another one too. Maybe even better."
6. Did you always know you'd emerge as victor?
"I always try to have that mindset, that I'm going to accomplish what I set out to do. If you can will something enough it could prove to be the deciding factor in the end. Sometimes you're just matched up evenly, it's the little things that make the difference."
7. What's your relationship like with fellow finalist, Anastasia Hayden?
"We were dating, that was no secret. We haven't talked in a while, things have gone on a hiatus. I wish her well, but somethings aren't just meant to be."
8. How did you celebrate your title win?
"I spent three hours sleeping in my hotel, and then I jumped on a flight to get back to the states for another show."
9. If you could pick a contender for your title, who would it be and why?
"Owen, Ana, or Jack ... I think. Those are my top picks, people I want to step into the ring with again, or for the first time in Owen's case."
10. What's next for Bryan Williams?
"Continue my success. I have a Pride title defense soon, and I'm sure I'll be defending this Global title all over. Keep expecting more from me, because I'll keep achieving."
