The scene fades open to Chandler Scott, who is standing in front of a black and gold NJFC backdrop.
Chandler Scott: Four up, four down. Four wins, zero losses. You couldn't ask for a better start to the Pride of Puroresu Crown. Yet why am I not satisfied? It's because in a span of one week, that great start could easily get wiped out *snaps fingers* like that. The Pride of Puroresu Crown has just started. We're not even halfway trough the tournament yet. So for me to feel like I've got things in the bag would be incredibly irresponsible. The real work starts now. And that's not to say the first four matches were a walk in the park because believe me, they weren't. But the level of competition is starting to get stiffer. The murderer's row of competition, especially here in Block A, is on the horizon.
And it all starts with you, James Edwards.
The last time wrestling fans saw you, were you victorious?
Did you have your named echoed throughout the arena as the winner?
Were you hoisting a championship over your head?
NO!
The last time wrestling fans saw you, you were passed out. And you weren't just passed out in the center of the ring to any old hold. You had passed out... to the Scott Lock, a move that I obviously know very well. But the most interesting detail about that scene is that... I wasn't even the one to put you in that hold. So James, let me ask you a question. What do you think is going to happen when you finally step into the ring with the man himself? Hmm? What do you think is going to happen when you finally go toe to toe with Grapp Game Moses? Tap, nap, or snap, you have your choice as to how you want to go out. But what you don't have a choice over, James, is who gets their hand raised in the end. Because that, my friend, will be me. This isn't me selling you short because I know exactly what type of man you are. I know the talent that you posses. I've seen you brutalize many men with nothing but your fists and your feet. No, I can't throw my fists as hard as you. I can't kick my feet as hard as you. If this thing devolves into a brawl, that won't bode well for me. So instead of trading fists, we're going to trade holds. And spoiler alert: I'm going to win that exchange because I will outwrestle you. Instead of keeping things on the feet, I'm taking things to the ground and keeping it there because, spoiler alert: I will outwrestle you. James, you have a disciple that is advantageous to you and so do I. This is going to be a battle of styles. But when the smoke clears and the final bell is rung, every head will bow and every tongue will confess that Chandler Reigns Supreme.
Then after my match with James, it's the Iceman... The German Sensation... the German Suplex Machine, Konrad Rabb. By your own admission, you know nothing about me. 'Tis a shame. But don't worry. You're going to become well-versed in all things Chandler Scott this Friday night. But me? I know quite a bit about you. I know of your reputation throughout this sport. Your name has been uttered throughout the industry for years... usually as a punchline to a joke. But before you get in your feelings and go on another Twitter rant, relax for just a second. I don't see you as a joke, Raab. I'm not going to dismiss you as an automatic win for me. I'm not going to go for the low hanging fruit and call you a Raabtard like so many others have in the past. I understand the unique position that you're in. You crave for the respect of your peers. You yearn to one day be acknowledged universally as an outstanding wrestler. Winning the Pride of Puroresu Crown will go along way towards achieving those goals. But time is starting to run out, my friend. While James and I continue to set the pace in Block A, you continue to drop in the standings with each passing match. Desperation will start setting in any day now. Desperate men do desperate things. But desperate men are some of those most dangerous men to be standing across the ring from. So Rabb, I will not take you or our match lightly. But I will take away your opportunity to improve your standing in this tournament.
Then there's you, Ms. Jones. You're another wrestler, like James, who is right there on me heels. Another wrestler that's continued to keep pace with me at the top of Block A. That's why it's important that I don't become complacent. Thats why its important for me not to let my foot off the gas. One hiccup, one setback will allow you and James to surpass me and claim that top spot in Block A. And you know I can't let that happen, right Stacy? That's why next Wednesday on the 27th, I have to put you down. That's why I have to keep you right where you are in this tournament and that's in my rearview mirror. But make no mistake about it, I know that will be much easier said than done. You have been one of the few in this tournament that have impressed me the most. You've proven that matches aren't won on physical stats, but by what's in here *Chandler points to his heart*. You have a desire to compete and be the best. I can see it in your eyes. I hear it in your voice. And I see it every time you've stepped into the ring. But next Wednesday, you will face THE toughest hurdle in this block. Will you rise to the occasion? Good luck
