Playing with snow in England. Manchester, England. Thursday 1st March.
Unlike other competitors who'll do their videos in Japan, Konrad wouldn't have time to do so due to travelling, but it also came down to one other thing he's doing a video about the Light Heavyweight tournament right now, snowing in England. Konrad was being like he's a five-year-old boy all over again, playing in the snow as he loves it. He loves feeling the snow and the ice on the pavements. He has the camera standing up in front of him as he's in a park, sitting on the snow as he speaks.
Konrad Raab: "I wasn't going to waste the chance to talk to you all in my favourite weather conditions they have here in England, snow. Why? Because it's something I've enjoyed since I was five years old and because it's apart of who I am as The Iceman."
Of course, he wasn't here to talk about that as he gets on with it, feeling the snow in his hands to speak again.
Konrad Raab: "I'm here to talk about the Light Heavyweight title tournament other known as the Junior Heavyweight title tournament. It's no secret I've been preparing since August for the tournament with cutting so much weight to be here, that's been talked about, but what hasn't is my opponents in the match. I know a lot about Takashi Shinobu. We fought on the last show, but while I won, I made plenty of mistakes in the match against him, much like I did in the Breakout tournament because of my lack of experience in the class. Anything can happen with Takashi because he has the motivation to beat me which is something I got to be careful of because I got to knock him down again, especially I know the mistakes I made in the last match."
Konrad takes a breather for a minute as there are kids throwing snowballs at him as he throws some back before he focuses on the camera again.
Konrad Raab: "I've watched the matches a lot to work on the mistakes I made in the matches, especially I always want to be at my best when it comes to the tournament, especially I could see myself advancing forward with it, depending if I can beat Takashi Shinobu again because he's a very tough individual to defeat in the ring and I take him and everyone else in the tournament a threat too."
Konrad kept getting distracted with kids throwing snowballs at him as he throws a few back before speaking again.
Konrad Raab: "Craig Anderson is someone I've always wanted to face and I still don't know why we haven't, considering we're fighting in Rebellion Pro at the moment as he along with Owen Gonsalves, Sam Tolson, Ryan Henderson and Dom DiBona who I saw fight in the Breakout tournament are the favourites to win the tournament. Not to say the ones aren't named are because everyone, but me has experience in this sort of style, but I'd eventually love to face everyone in the tournament because I will learn something from everyone, even from Takashi too to grow to be a better wrestler in the Light Heavyweight division."
Konrad places a few snowballs in his hand and next to him just in case, but he goes to lie on the snow like a big kid as he speaks again.
Konrad Raab: "I heard Michael Kelly like me is a champion of his brand in Sixth City Wrestling, while I've just become Ballroom champion last week. I think I can get good competition from you as I wanted to face somebody in CWC as Ballroom champion. So many of you like Lisa Foster, Arlo Rosabel, Jason Hunter, Tyler Storm are the few names I've not heard of before, but everyone in this tournament is a threat to me, more than ever before as I'm welcoming the challenge of fighting the top Light Heavyweight wrestlers in the world."
Konrad's really happy cos of more snow coming down in the park as he could lay in the snow all day just purely having fun as he speaks again.
Konrad Raab: "I'm looking forward to everyone bringing their absolute best in the tournament as I've been working on a couple of moves. One of them is the moonsault I'm sure I aim to perform before I do it in other companies. I've been working on practicing a moonsault for many weeks now and I think I got it. I also got a finisher I've spend many weeks getting right as well because I knew I had to add in some more high flying moves due to how fast and how hard the division can be, but that's exciting to me enough because I love being out of my comfort zone to learn and try new things."
Konrad nods as he smiles each time he touches snow before he throws more snowballs at the kids before he speaks again.
Konrad Raab: "However in spite of all of this, I've maintained my weight at two hundred and four pounds just to be in this tournament and I'm willing to wrestle everyone until I'm the last man not to be pinned or submitted in the tournament as I will be the new Light Heavyweight champion because I've busted my ass and I will continue to do so until I win that title as all of you have many years ahead of you to be champion, but I don't and that's iced me up a lot more than before. I'm going to walk away from Japan as the Light Heavyweight champion after I've pinned and/or submitted wrestlers in the tournament. Prepare to be Iceinated by The Iceman."
Konrad continues playing in the snow until five in the evening to go to the ballroom arena to fight against Sean Davenport and Kasey Summers with Oliver Brown as his tag partner before flying straight to Japan.
