(The door to the press conference room creeks open and in walks Migeru Takahashi who greets everyone with a nod and a wave, lightly bowing before holding the door open for his tag partner. Right behind him is ACM Intercontinental and Legacy: Japan Intercontinental Champion Aimi Jun who walks into the room dressed in a medium cut black dress and proudly sporting both of her titles. She greets everyone in attendance with a warm wide smile and a happy wave as the duo make their way to the table, Migeru stopping short at Aimi’s chair, pulling it out for her with a smile. Jun obliges, nearly blushing at the gesture and lightly bows her head at him before taking her seat, prompting Migeru to take his seat beside her. Aimi situates her two championship belts in front of her, making sure that they are visible to the crowd and the cameras to showcase the two companies she represents as a dual champion.)
Migeru: May we begin?
(He takes a peek over at Aimi who kindly waves at the stubby American reporter in the front row.)
WrestleNews.com Writer: You two have referred to yourselves as the Cats of Peace. What exactly does that name mean and does it imply anything about your strategy as partners?
(Aimi looks over at Migeru who is trying his best not to laugh out of his chair, balling up a fist and slamming it against the table instead.)
Migeru Well, in all honesty, you all probably know that our team name derives as a parody of the world renown group, The Dogs Of War. While this is meant as no disrespect to those in the group, we found it very amusing to do so and act like there is no relation between both faction names. Myself and Ms. Jun see ourselves and each other as peaceful people, maybe not so peaceful inside of the ring but definitely outside. We also like cats, so there is that as well.
Aimi: Cats. Very good.
(She gives a thumbs up as audible laughter amongst the room.)
Local Japanese Reporter: [This question is solely for Ms. Jun. As a fairly new champion in both Mexico and Japan, do you think your experience & success overseas will fair well in NJFC?]
(Aimi glances towards Migeru again, looking a little nervous with all of the attention solely on her but a smile and a nod from Migeru causes her to smile and look back to the reporter.)
Aimi: [ I do not know that I would say I have experience or success despite how fortunate I have been to win two championship belts in one match. I am very new on my own and it is still something that I am working at. Migeru has been a tremendous help in building my confidence and I am very grateful to be teaming with him here in NJFC. I feel that his presence will help me fair better than anything. ]
(Migeru tightens up his tie looks on with a smile.)
Migeru: [She is just being modest. Her success was all her doing and she will continue to be successful in singles competition as well as tag team competition. Aimi is one of the best wrestlers. Not just in women’s wrestling but in wrestling as a whole and I am grateful that she has agreed to team up with me this weekend]
(Aimi blushes at his kind words, bowing her head with a smile. A very tall blonde man, possibly of European decent stands up with enthusiasm.)
GrappleTalk.uk.com Reporter: As we’ve seen in the past, you two are, let’s say somewhat successful as singles competitors. Does this mean that it will translate into tag team success, not only in NJFC but in general?
Migeru: I can not tell the future but what I can say is that we will try our best. I believe in our team and to believe is only the first step in a positive outlook on everything ahead of us.
GrappleTalk.Uk.com Reporter: One more question: Your first round opponents. You two will go head to head with the “colorful” team of the Renjas, a team that has been together for just around the time that they’ve popped up in the wrestling world. Do you, a newly formed team believe that you can topple the unpredictability of the Renjas?
Migeru: One can not prepare for the unknown. We do not know what color Renjas that we will be facing. We do not know what styles to be prepared for. We have simply trained to the best of our ability, not only for the Renjas but for every single team in this tournament. From the tag team champions, dPEEG to the Dogs Of War to Shootcamp and every other fantastic team in this tournament.
(Migeru glances over to the side, staring at his tag team partner. Aimi looks to be slowly processing the English that is being spoken, her eyes focusing intently as she nods along.)
Aimi: The Renjas are very un-pre-dictable! Very excited to face them! Cats of Peace! Go all the way!
(She smiles proudly and confidently, glancing over to Migeru.)
J-Wrestle Magazine writer: [With Aimi defending two championships and competing in the ACM Women's tournament, as well as a Rising Sun Championship match in Migeru's future, how confident are you both with your focus on this tournament here in NJFC?]
Aimi: [ I do not feel at all overwhelmed by the many opportunities being presented. I am overjoyed to be the Intercontinental Champion to two incredible companies and am happy and honored to defend them at any opportunity. The ability to compete in the ACM Women's Championship Tournament is a huge honor as well. So many women from so many companies have come together to show what women can do in the ring. I am happy to be a part of that. However, my focus when I am here is where it belongs. The Cats of Peace are here to bring smiles to the faces of all the people. We will win this tournament through the power of peace! Thank you very much! ]
Migeru: Thank you all very much.
(Migeru scoots out of his chair before walking over to Aimi’s and pulling it back. She reaches out and grabs her championships, placing them on her respective shoulders as The Cats Of Peace make their exit out of the room.)
