(Next up is the newest addition to the New Japan Fighting Championship roster in Raijin Hunter, the "Dark Phoenix" of the Mechanical Animals faction. The young second generation wrestler is dressed respectfully in a dark gray suit with a black silk dress shirt while the MA's manager who is dressed in her usual suit as Raijin takes his place at the podium at which point he bows respectfully to the press before giving the assembled press corp a smile}
Rai: I hope that you all will please take it easy on me since this is my first time.
{There is a smattering of laughter before Raijin motions for the press to start their round of questions}
Number Magazine: Mister Hunter, what brings you to Japan let alone to to New Japan Fighting Championship?
{Rai rubs his chin thoughtfully for a moment}
Rai: When I first set out and follow my parents into professional wrestling, coming to Japan and making it here was always one of the main goals. To honestly say that my parents owe their very careers to Japan is an understatement, if not more. Plus Japan has a reputation of putting out some of the toughest wrestlers in our industry which is something that my friend and fellow Mechanical Animal Jacob Striker has confirmed, so here I am to test myself against the best in the world.
{A sea of hands go up and Rai points at one}
JSM: Yes, I am Hiroki from Japan Sports Magazine and I was wondering if you and Miss Belnades are going to be the only ones from the Mechanical Animals coming to New Japan or if you’ll be joined by your fellows?
{Rai nods for a moment before he looks over at Amanda which the blue-haired woman simply offers up a shrug before Rai returns his attention to the man from JSM}
Rai: That is a very fair question, but as far as I know no other members of the MA is looking to come here to New Japan, so I guess that it’s just Amanda and me for the time being. I hope none of your are disappointed at that?
{There is another smattering of laughter before the sea of hands returns and Rai points at another one}
WrestleTalk: Yes, I’m Tempest with WrestleTalk. Is there anyone that you’re actually looking forward to wrestling while you’re here in New Japan?
Rai: Hello Tempest and yes, I do have a wish list of people that I want to face off against here. People that I've seen around the world like the Dragon's Curse in Takashi Shinobu, Hana Kaneko, Jessi Ozborne, and finally someone who has quite the interesting history with my fellow Mechanical Animal in the form of MYŌJIN themself.
And while Hana, Jessi, and MYŌJIN might be my numbers four through two dream opponents, there is one in particular that I would love to face off at the first earliest chance in a one on one match and that's against Minoru Tanahashi. I mean call me crazy, but I honestly think that the two of us could have one really killer match. Next?
ESPN: Mister Hunter, I am Thomas Ryder with ESPN. You have shown yourself to be quite the tag team wrestler in promotions like Pro Wrestling Nova, Extreme Wrestling Corporation, and One Wrestle Movement. And you had an incredible showing at the Splat Network's Calamity Chamber earlier this month when you outlasted your fellow OWM roster member and company champion Q in the Chamber. What do you think seriously of your chances here in New Japan?
{The smile disappears from Rai’s face and is replaced with one of pure determination}
Rai: I not going to fool myself and believe that I’m instantly going to be the next big thing right out of the gate because if there is anything that I’ve learned from my father, Zell Hunter and my fellow Mechanical Animal in Jacob Striker is that you can be one of the toughest bastards around and believe that you’re the next big thing all that you want, but nothing can replace sheer determination and a respect for what you and others do out there in that ring each and every night.
So Mister Ryder, you ask me how serious do I think my chances are of making something big of myself here in New Japan? I think my chances are pretty damn epic because I’m already the first person announced for the Pride of Puroresu Crown series in August and you can be rest assured that I fully intend on spiking each and every single one of my opponents until I am the last man standing.
But that’s not arrogance or ego in my voice, sir.
That’s the grim drive to be the best damn wrestler that this promotion will have ever seen.
{Amanda moves to stand next to Raijin with a look of grim determination on her youthful face}
Amanda: Ladies and Gentlemen, this press conference is now over. Thank you for your collective time.
{Amanda and Raijin offer a polite bow before the two leave the screen as the screen fades out}
